UPSC Mock Interviews
UPSC conducts the third stage of the examination process or the Personality test after
the declaration of the Mains result.
UPSC Mock interviews are mock personality tests that are conducted to allow the
candidate to practice in a simulated environment. This helps the candidate to get used
to handling pressure on the D day. There are basically two types of mock interviews-the
formal ones and the informal ones.
The informal mock interviews are the ones in which you sit face to face with your mentor
and answer the expected questions.
The second one is the formal mock interview in which you sit in front of 4 to 5
experienced members. Here the aim is to duplicate the experience of a real interview to
the greatest degree possible. The candidate gets the feeling that they are actually sitting
in front of the esteemed board members of UPSC.
Informal mock interviews can give a candidate the initial confidence that may be
required for starting interview preparations. However, it is the formal mock interviews
that test the candidate’s steel and make them battle ready.
