Satan is real, and he is a liar. If you are a believer and follower of Jesus, prepare yourself for a life-long battle. He will seek to destroy your mind, body, and ultimately pull you away from God. He doesn’t seek out people who don’t know God… why would he? They are already his. Spiritual attacks are against those who love God. They are real, and if you’re not aware of them or prepared for them, they’ll begin taking over your life. THIS is why we pray. THIS is why we need the Word. THIS is why we must fill our minds with God’s truth because if we don’t, the enemy is gonna plant lies in your brain. These plants look a lot like doubt, worry, shame, fear… God doesn’t plant those seeds, Satan does. Brothers and sisters, prepare yourself and stay prayed up. Life is a battle. Know your enemy, and know the God who stands with you.

We each have a personal responsibility to invest in our relationships with God. We can’t use other people’s faith as credibility for our own. Your parents’ relationship with God isn’t yours. Your spouse’s relationship with God isn’t yours. Going to a Christian school all your life doesn’t make you a disciple of Christ. Going to church doesn’t mean you have a personal relationship with God. The bumper sticker on your car doesn’t get you to heaven. Your social media posts don’t mean you know the Lord. Jesus died for you, personally. The relationship He desires to have with you, is personal. There is no substitute or resume you can use to acquire and sustain a relationship with God. It’s Jesus alone, and He loves you. He’s worth investing your heart into, and He’s the only One who will never leave you nor forsake you. Your relationship with Him will get you through this life, make it your number one priority.
