"And this is a war — from the very beginning, this was a war Israel declared on Palestinian children. You know, Israel wants to wipe out Palestinian children, because Palestinian children represent the Palestinian tomorrow that is incompatible with the Zionist settler-colonial project."--DR. GHASSAN ABU-SITTAH

While we're at it: using language that downplays genocide is a form of genocide denial.
Joe Biden isn't doing a bad job, Joe Biden is providing material support for genocide.
Israel isn't handling the situation badly, Israel is committing genocide.
Employing euphemisms minimizes the reality of this genocide. It's disrespectful and dangerous.
If you are more uncomfortable with the word genocide than you are with the reality of genocide, then you are not prepared to be part of any serious discussion. Work on that on your own time.

Cops are usually only ever brought to enforce violence and never protect anyone, I think the excuse of "fighting antisemitism on campus" is instantly disproven with the massive cop presence because yeah right you'd "waste" state resources on protecting anyone from anything. Hordes of cops only mean you made people mad, not that they want to help anyone.

I know white people especially struggle with this concept but like when a Palestinian, or any other group of Black or brown people are calling you in and making a general statement about the state of the allyship for our causes, and maming criticism of common behaviours or whatever else, that is NOT an invitation for you to confess your own shortcomings or your journey of self-improvement. Especially not under our posts. Make your own post if you really feel like it. But we don't need to hear your personal story of how you ignored our long-standing genocide until you saw enough people doing the right thing and you decided to follow. Keep that to yourself.
These posts are meant for you to REFLECT ON YOURSELF! BY YOURSELF! QUIETLY! And decide on your OWN what part of your behaviours you can identify being criticized in these posts and fix them!! And if you need help you can ask a question without necessarily giving us all the details of how you used to be ignorant or whatever. We're not here to hand out forgiveness we're trying to help coordinate and organize people to be more cohesive and we're giving you tips to be better allies. We're not giving you counciling for white guilt!!!

"The Biden administration, after reportedly finding three battalions within the Israeli occupation forces to be violating human rights and taking the decision to sanction it, decided not to proceed with the punitive measures.
The three battalions, found to be committing 'gross human rights violations' against Palestinian civilians in the occupied West Bank, will walk away scott-free as no sanctions will be imposed on them, ABC News reported.
US Secretary of State Antony Binken informed US House Speaker Mike Johnson of the decision in a Friday letter, wherein he reportedly said the fact that they were found to be violating human rights would not impede or delay the delivery of any type of assistance to the Israeli occupation.
Blinken underlined that the Israeli occupation forces would receive the full amount of arms and funds appropriated by Congress."

There are images of decomposed bodies wearing what appear to be scrubs... with their hands tied. Meaning they were executed while bound. I will not be sharing them because I'm tired of showing our martyrs' bodies to people.

hey, so i saw this post by @/palipunk [tumblr link] about a gofundme campaign to help someone evacuate gaza right now, with a tweet where the organizers are asking for only 250 people to each donate €100 to help reach the goal. i have almost exactly that and thought to become one of the 250 people, but i realized i could try to help stretch that money even further by matching other people's donations.
so, boost this post and whatever amount of money you have to give--50, 20, 10, 1 or less--donate it to the GFM linked below and then send a screenshot of proof of your donation either in a reblog on this post or in DMs to me, and i'll match it, up to $100 (which is a little less than €100 but it's what i have).
i'm hoping that at the very least we can get another person's worth of donations and double my original donation, maybe more if people keep donating through this post after i've sent all mine, but even if this post gets no traction i'll still be donating the full $100 within the week. there's nothing to lose, please boost to help Walaa Abusamra and her family evacuate gaza right now, and donate anything you can if you have it.
