The Fernando Torres Feast Day menu 2024
March 20 was the Feast Day of St. Fernando, the day in which we eat in the name of the patron saint of Hair & Sports Programming Network.
I had planned to make something totally different this year! But then I thought what a waste of that photo of Fernando Torres eating sushi...
But first a drink:
Upgraded last year's gin martini with ginger for a gin and ginger martini, in a Nick & Nora glass: Bombay Original London Dry Gin, with Domaine de Canton, a ginger liqueur.
So I was going to do a Spanish dish, but then I saw the fish counter at a new grocery store here in NYC and remembered the photo we posted for this year and decided to make sushi:
I made a salmon and cucumber roll, with salmon and tuna nigiri (which FT has in that photo, the row closest to the front).
Previous Feast Day menus: 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023
