where did all that shit in Miranda’s house come from? The tea cups and the wash basin and the harpsichord and the books. Did Flint get them for her? How much do you think she wanted to break those lovely delicate tea cups? If Flint did get her all these things, how much of it was Flints dream for domesticity and how much of it did she want? How much of his vengeance was hers?

She said she encouraged his rage, but do you think… they just… exchanged expression of their respective emotions. She, acting a grieving widow when in reality she wants to Rip Things Apart Brick By Brick, He, acting a pirate captain, fuelled by hate and rage, when all he wants to do is lie back and weep.

He can’t express sadness can he? She can’t express rage. Gender norms really are a bitch huh.

I think the fundamentals to then Ed-Roy dynamic is that Roy sees Ed as an teenager with nukes for hands who has to be VERY CAREFULLY AIMED and Ed sees Roy as decorative.

fghjk this is funny because

1. when mustang takes ed to the exam, the only thing he knows about this kid is that he’s committed a gruesome, disfiguring, extremely alchemically challenging felony

2. mustang has NO IDEA what ed’s gonna do. none. he has no fucking conversation with this kid, no plan for if this tiny child just freezes up on the stage and starts crying or whatever in front of the president because again, HE’S TWELVE

I attended a seminar on Legal Issues and the LGBTI community and one HILARIOUS side effect of same sex marriage getting legalised was in reality…horrible for estate planning and property disputes, but also sounds like an incredible fic premise

Before same sex marriage was legal a fair few gay couples got married in foreign countries; it had no effect in Australia but it was the principle of the thing. When it became legal, their marriages took effect in Aussie too.

This was wonderful for couples who were still together, but for couples who had broken up, and hadn’t bothered to go back to that foreign country to get divorced (and they rarely did)…they suddenly found themselves married again.
