hey, this really shouldn’t surprise anyone [i doubt there are even active people who view this blog] butttt….. i’m officially taking a hiatus from this blog. i don’t know if i’m gonna be coming back, but it won’t be soon.

when i first joined in the summer of 2017, i was a completely different person. hell, i went by a whole different name and set of pronouns. and saying this community didn’t affect me would be a lie. however, it hasn’t been mostly positive. as time has gone by, i’ve felt less and less accepted in this community, and seeing the constant discourse going on made me less excited to continue posting. this community is divided, and i’ve seen good friends of mine be chased off this platform. 

yes, i’ve contributed to some of the discourse. i’ll admit that. but i’m tired. i don’t wanna do this anymore, man. 

i wanna quickly tag the people who meant the most to me in this community. if i have you added on discord or i message you at all, you’re still a friend of mine, but these people meant loads to me.

@gamzeeismyboyfriend - introduced me to the community. seriously ari, everytime i stumble on your art on my dash i feel inclined to just scroll through the entire tag. you’re extremely talented and extremely welcoming in this community, and i hope to still appreciate your work from my main. also repo rocks. you get me.

@unchartedbfs - one of my dads !! you mean a lot to me and i’m glad we’re still in contact, even if it’s just to talk for a couple messages. i’m so glad i met you under any circumstance, and i’m glad you’ve taken me under your wing as a kid of sorts.

@ricardo-ortegasbf - MY OTHER DAD!! you are JUST as cool as ben and i love reading your writing and what you post. i wish you and ben nothing but happiness in the coming years.

@mordredljselfship - seriously still one of my closest friends. i’m so glad i get to talk to you on discord from time to time, and i love exchanging headcanons with you. this isn’t exactly me saying goodbye, just me getting an excuse to gush about you. your character understanding is wonderful and there’s never a dull moment talking to you
