The thing I love the most about My Man is Cupid is that he fell in love with three women during the course of his immortal life and [spoiler] it turned out they were all the same woman, reincarnated. Like your western tv series could never!
My boy spent his entire life falling in love with the same woman, unknowingly. And each time he felt so guilty about falling in love again despite himself, despite grieving so much about the tragic fate of the one he loved, appalled that some girl would make his heart lighter through the grief, and it turned out it was always the same warm soul he fell in love with first, cheering him on and (unknowingly herself) desperately trying to fight against the God of Fate and pave her own path, desperate to ensure she had a fighting chance.
It got so obvious towards ep 12 that the kdrama is based on Cupid and Psyche, I don’t know why it took me so long to realise.
Also, I can’t wait to see their reaction when they realise that all the tragedy they’ve endured throughout their lifetimes was because the god of fate and the god of courage made a bet, it’s giving serious book of Job vibes.
