I know it's because of kid show censorship, but I think it'd be very funny if the in universe reason no one had guns in ninjago since (what, season 3 ?) is because guns are just. Illegal in ninjago. Like the law was passed atp when we stopped seeing guns in the show. And for some reasons this is the one law even the worst villains respect. (Maybe bc trafficking guns became way too complicated for the result when they know the ninjas don't even have some anyway, so it'd be better to use the energy for their plans / magic weapons or something)

the lay offs were on the 18th this month, pretending to celebrate a native culture as you help the military that is actively ethnically cleansing them, and has been for years, is highly hypocritical and just an attempt to save face

in case someone forgot, google is on BDS' "pressure" list, which means it isn't necessary a 100% boycott but rather a target for pressuring and limiting your use of their services to push them towards cutting ties with israel

i will never get over the accidental trans/non-binary coding of just ianite as a concept btw. what if you entered into the world and were told there were only two options for you to pick. the entire world functions on this rigid dichotomy, and now you’re expected to fall into either extreme. not just expected, but pressured.

but neither of them feels right. feels like you. so you make your own choice. a third option, one specifically forged to fit your very being. one that makes you happy, that doesn’t make you feel trapped in a box of another’s creation.

and everyone laughs. they tell you that’s not how it works, you can’t just do that. that’s not real. you’ll snap out of it eventually, come to terms with reality and pick a real side for once.

but you never do. you find a community, people like you, proof of your existence and that there are others like you. that you’re not alone. that there’s life outside of the dichotomy, that your own path can be forged, that your ideals and beliefs aren’t the joke everyone’s made them out to be.
