I turned 25 today (17 Dec 2022) and from here on out- baby my brain's maturing. No really. It's science.
This year I have been super excited about turning 25. Partly because yay, I am turning 25, a quarter of a century... but also dreading it cz a possible quarter-life crisis is coming? But I've been mostly excited ever since I came across this reel by VI LUONG in early August this year !!!
She shares that our brain doesn't fully develop until we are 25YO. One of the key things she mentioned was after we turn 25, our impulsiveness reduces (?).
Ever since I was aware of this development, I have been obsessed! My friends know how excited I was to have my brain fully develop this year 😂 To further confim my bias, I went through some articles which stated the same. Lol. This chart kinda sums it up-
When I read more- there were conversations about how correct is it then to keep 18 as the legal age if an average person hasn't reached their full capacity of maturing yet. Etc. etc. While all of that was interesting, it is however beyond the point I am trying to make right now. So yeah.. from here on now.. I look forward to more informed, and less impulsive actions 😭😭 I guess it should be okay as I have been taking regular therapy sessions at the moment.
3/4 So I had watched The God of High School a year back and and almost forgot I made these comparison videos.
3. This reference I took is from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (I could go on and on about this show but saving it for some other time). It's not necessarily GOD but sometimes a higher power or the "truth". The way animes portray it, they never fail to fascinate me.

2. Well this palm sequence reminded me of one of the many iconic scenes from Stephen Chow's Kung fu hustle. If u haven't watched it.. do me a favor. WATCH IT NOW!
1/4: So I had watched The God of High School a year back and and almost forgot I made these comparison videos.
1. Introducing Han Daewhi of TGOHS: shows how strong he is. Leaves a huge impact. Reminded of another anime- I cannot remember the name. But the protagonist is partially deaf and cannot speak. But was in the military before so has extraordinary observation skills to comprehend what the other person is saying. He too is very strong and leaves an impression when he shows his strength. Sadly, I think the author of the manga could not complete the story till date. I am not sure.
Oh my god. I couldn't complete the movie without pausing multiple times. I don't get as anxious in horror/psychological movies as much as I did in here. It's like the more relatable the backdrop of the movie is, the more anxious u can get. First off, how claustrophobic was that room? And the background score!!! HOLY SHIT. Why do we have a horror like music in this? I am not complaining. it worked. It creeped me out and my anxiety was off the roof. I felt every bit of second-hand embarrassment in this. I watched Shiva Baby without reading the plot. I just dived in and well I was looking for a happy, comedy movie but I got more. It really depends on what state you are in and that's how every movie has a different impact on you. So Shiva Baby was definitely heavy for me. Good watch tho and ofc brilliant performances.
There were many many parts that spoke to me. Although it left me sort of confused as to how to feel after I finished reading the last chapter @6 am in the morning 🥲 I actually watched the show before reading it and in a way Marianne and Connell had a more heartbreaking end as compared to the book. 'Lonely' is a recurring theme in the book. Or to feel like there is something wrong with you um.. internally. All in all I enjoyed it. And reading it from a place of my most anxious self in years.. hits the spot. I have shared only three of the many that I have underlined 🙃🌼
The last segment of Rosé's Interview film "DREAM" reminded me of a conversation I had with someone very dear to me. He asked where do I see myself in five years... Out of the many things I want to be, one clear answer was- to be happy :)
This song, Good life by sokodomo (South Korean rapper) has been stuck in my head ever since I listened to it for the first time. His Mini Album 'WWW.III' as a whole is lovely. He is only 20YO. God
(ʃƪ^3^) so talented. He also speaks FIVE languages!! Many may know him from his feature in Genda Phool. Lol. Anyway this video is from earlier this month.
I told sunset about you OST x Your Name Engraved Herein.
As the composer said, Trumpet has a sound quality of wanting to say something but not being able to get it out. And hence a trumpet was chosen for the lead actor. It reminded me of 'I told sunset about you' OST where trumpets have been used significantly. One of the best background scores in 2020.
Well not to forget this film also has a lovely soundtrack 😞😭
