#flashing cw - for anything that appears to have flashing or oscillation between contrasting colours, we will try to err on the side of caution for this tag

#eyestrain cw - this covers anything that makes our eyes go kinda funny, including glitching and blurry content

#bugs cw - this will cover many things that might not technically be ‘bugs’ including arachnids and water dwelling arthropods

#deep sea animals cw - i mean you know what the ocean critters are like

#thalassophobia cw - thalassophobia is a fear of the ocean, this will cover anything relating to the ocean and other deep water

#trypophobia cw - the fear of small, irregular holes. we have a particularly difficult time recognizing when this needs to be tagged but we will do our best.

#chirophobia cw - fear of hands, for whenever human hands are present in content, this one we might struggle to remember until we get the hang of it.

#scopophobia cw - for any time there are eyes looking directly at the camera, or there is a major focus on eyes.

#unsanitary cw - this is for anything that is particularly unclean or would be a biological hazard to health, including things like rot, mould, and bodily substances

#messy cw - somewhat related to the above, but for anything that is just a big mess, so may include things that are sanitary but all over the place like under activated slimes

#human/animal bodily substance cw - for when there is anything like blood or pus, the human and animal versions are separate tags. we will never intentionally show anything we believe to be/be the result of animal abuse.

#animal remains cw - this will be for anything that contains meat, bones or bodies of animals, strictly for animals that have died naturally or been killed for meat. again, we will never intentionally show anything we believe to be/be the result of animal abuse.

#hemophobia cw - for when there is blood present in a gif, real or otherwise

#infection cw - includes things like pus, infected wounds, etc

#food cw - will be used for anything that either is food or looks like food

#eating cw - for any gifs that show someone eating something

#abandoned cw - for buildings and items that have been abandoned and left to return to nature

#fire cw - for anything actively on fire or that has been burned by fire

#medical cw - for anything that includes medical procedures such as minor surgery or medical equipment, including bandaids and q-tips. this tag is not an endorsement of the validity of anything shown as actual treatments, & we are not qualified to give medical advice.

#fast cw - for any gifs/videos that have rapid movement in them

#loud cw - for any videos/audios that have loud sounds in them

#discordant cw - for any videos/audios that have harsh/discordant sounds in them

#fake gore cw - for any drawn, SFX or makeup gore. we will not ever post real gore.

#fake body cw - for anything drawn, created through SFX or makeup that resembles a human body. again, we will never post the real version of this.

#weapons cw - for anything that involves any sort of weaponry, this includes things like butterfly knives but things like  kitchen knives & boxcutters being used as tools will go under the tag below

#sharp cw - for anything that involves sharp tools and cutting

#unsafe cw - for anything we recognize as an unsafe practice such as soap cutting towards the thumb. do not take the absence of this tag as an endorsement of something’s safety

#BFRB cw - for anything we think may trigger body focused repetitive behaviours.

#unsettling cw - for anything that has unsettling vibes

#liminal cw - for any liminal spaces

#unreality cw - for anything that depicts something realistically or as if it is reality when it is in fact fake

Please do not make sexual comments on any of our posts. just reblogging to nsfw blogs is fine.

You’re always free to send us an ask on or off anon, but please keep any messages related to this blog, if you have personal questions for any of the mods feel free to ask them over at our main, @laconic-nightmares.

Do not claim our gifs or the content within them as your own

Our gifs are free to use so long as you credit us and the original content creator (linking back to our post satisfies both of these requirements)

Our emoji's are free to use so long as you do not claim them as your own. Giving credit/linking back to us is appreciated but not required.

Do not add your own DNI to our posts

Do not use our gifs to create stimboards and the like if you are adding an exclusionary/bigoted DNI to them (especially if you are an anti, anti-kink, sysmed, transmed or radfem)

About the Mods

Mod Roach it/its an avatar of corruption from the magnus archives, it is non-verbal and communicates through emojis and emotions, which are interpreted by other members of the system. likes all things gross and creepy, and is the main curator of this blog’s content.

Mod Dmitri he/it mostly just here to vibe and tag stuff for the rest of the system, and various other administrative things

Mod Morgan he/him a very confusing boy who likes soft/pastel/cute things but also violence. :3 face extraordinaire.

Mod Caim it/xe/he here to post edgy stims, keep an eye on/interpret for Mod Hiveboi, and handle any negative interactions sent our way

This stim blog is run by members of a plural system and mainly curated by the hiveboi grub itself, but due to it being nonverbal, any written information/communication and tagging is done by one of the other members of the blog.

Many of the stims on this blog may be ‘gross,’ disturbing, contain flashing or loud noise, and generally be a lot less soft than you may expect from a stim blog. All of our content will be thoroughly tagged, and you can always ask for something to be tagged or point out that we have missed a tag. But as a general warning: We are autistic and occasionally struggle to differentiate things that need to be tagged for, along with having memory issues, so although we try to err on the side of caution, if you are photosensitive or are triggered by any of the things listed in our content warnings posts, this may not be a safe blog for you.

Although we will be making the gifs, it is unlikely any of the actual content will be made by us. All of our gifs will contain a link to the source material and be tagged with the creators name. we consider this to fall under fair use, but if you find your content on this blog and are uncomfortable with it, please contact us and we will remove it and you from our list of sources. All of the gifs we create and post will be tagged #hiveboi gifs, everything we reblog from others will have the tag #hiveboi reblog.

All content on this blog runs on a queue, but asks will be published whenever we receive them. we do not currently have requests open as we are just seeing how we handle the blog itself on top of all our other workload.

We will also at some point be posting text-based emojis to this blog, with the tag #hiveboi emojis, these emojis are for communication for non-verbal folk or during speech loss episodes, but anyone who wants to can use em.
