the smile he sends her way is pinched, as if he just bit into an unripe lime. it's not a stroll in the garden on his end, either; what with wearing shoes two sizes too small and the ostentatious collar threatening to choke him. honestly, how many ruffles do rich men need to wear? and how in the world would he even fight in such a garb?

he had already shot down the face powder with a glare strong enough to curdle milk, but even his piercing look couldn't set him free from the large beauty mark high on his left cheek. or the tight chignon at the base of his neck that sends his head a-pounding.

❛ because i couldn't fit it, ❜ his tongue lashes out without nary a thought as he works the chignon looser. it falls apart under his blacksmith-hewn fingers--good riddance!

I did it!

I finally moved out of my apartment two hours away. Constant ups and downs (the stairs because my apartment didn't have an elevator) and sleeping on the floor for half a month (my back...is so messed up y'all!) In less than six weeks, I'll hopefully be on my way to Spain, so!!!! *unintelligible noises*

Writing with a dangerous muse can be really interesting and exciting, but there are some things to be mindful about to make the experience fun for everyone involved.

When interacting with a dangerous muse, keep in mind that it’s not the other mun’s responsibility to rein their muse in if your muse is constantly being rude. Antagonize a dangerous muse at your own risks! Especially if there was no prior plotting involved, taunting/insulting a dangerous muse can result in your muse getting injured or worse.

Sometimes, a muse is going to be more powerful than yours. It’s more likely to be the case when interacting with a very dangerous muse. It’s ok if your muse doesn’t always have the upper hand, it’s ok if your muse isn’t always the strongest, or the most dangerous. Power imbalances are fun, but they require compromise. 

Remember that it’s not always fun for the mun if their dangerous muse only gets used for antagonistic purposes. Yes, of course, if someone is writing a “villain” or a very dangerous muse, they know it will lead to antagonistic threads. But it doesn’t mean they don’t want to explore other themes as well! All muses have nuances.

Don’t forget that muse ≠ mun. Even if someone is writing a muse that has done terrible things, it does not mean that they condone their muse’s actions, or agree with their muses.

guillermo is as quick to hide the bulb of garlic behind his back as he is to slap a tight smile on his face as nandor approaches. okay, the whole 'asking about his plans' is new. and welcomed. it almost makes up for not being able to make his second cousin's quinceañera because nandor had drank a bad batch of blood and needed guillermo to tend to his every need.
