Unfortunately no. It was only ever mentioned that one time with no further explanation. Same thing in the books, they just say that he was part of criminal organization outside of the country/abroad.

It's possible that the writer didn't really put too much thought into it. Probably isn't anything of importance, just a regular crime ring.

I could maybe ask the writer about it on tiktok or insta, but am not sure if I will be able to get an answer back. She replies to questions regarding the show sometimes in the tiktok comment section, so, I could try there.

I vaguely remember asking this in the past (but I can’t remember the answer oops) but does anybody from the hha fandom know what exactly Rufus’ organization was? And why he was going to take Patricia back with him before they saved her? I know in hoa he didn’t want to return Patricia only because he didn’t believe the elixir in the trade was real (which was true, Miss Andrews thought she could pull a fast one) but if I remember correctly in hha they were super vague about it. All they said was he had a criminal organization. Sorry for being long winded lmao hha Rufus was just so mysterious!

My first time watching House of Anubis. Overall I enjoyed the episode, I liked the mystery element. Patricia pissed me off the entire episode 😂 I get your friend is missing but taking it out on Nina wasn’t the way. I already sense a love triangle between amber, Mara, and Mick. If the video does well I’ll do the whole series.

The writer just confirmed that Joyce' father is the Great Prior and that the Secret Society/Anubis Brotherhood was started up before the whole fiasco with Joyce and Rufus.

They were never too clear about this; but I'm fully convinced that Victor and Van Swieten were part of two different cults/secret societies.

One of them is the main Anubis Brotherhood that we know of from season one, which includes Van Engelen and Jason. And the second is a completely different one that the Great Prior is also part of.

If they truly were the same cult, then Victor wouldn't have been able/allowed to disband the Anubis Brotherhood just like that in early season two, without notifying the Great Prior, whom obviously has the final say in such things. (Some might say that he was allowed to do this because the Holy Grail was said to have been destroyed anyway, so they saw no use in continuing. But that's no reason to disband their age-old cult, especially seeing as how they have always believed the existence of the Holy Grail to just be a myth up until around the end of season one.)

Some think that Joyce' father is the Great Prior, but I don't buy into that. We got separate scenes of Van Swieten and co talking on the phone with the father and the Great Prior, and the way he and Victor addresses and speaks to both is obviously different: there is a clear, high level of respect they show when talking to the Great Prior, while they sound like they are one equal grounds when talking to Joyce' father.

I believe that the Anubis Brotherhood was only 'recently' started up to simply protect Joyce and nothing else. Them taking an oath to stay quiet and acting so secretive isn't all too weird, considering that Joyce and her parents' safety is at risk.

I do, however, believe that Joyce' father is a member of that other cult that Victor, Van Swieten and the Great Prior belong to.

I wish Wolf from hha was in hoa so bad he was such a good villain and scary and iconic. UGH!! like Wolf would rock Rufus in a fight immediately. Rufus would flee the scene. Wolf wouldn’t even be intimidated for a second he’d clock Rufus on sight. I’m aware that I’ve resorted to the “who would win in a fight” mentality but I promise you it’s Wolf > anyone.
