People sure love those “film remake/book adaptation with all muppets and one human,” which can be fun, but typically just bother me cause I have too many opinions about muppets that most casual muppet appreciators don’t.
One of those opinions being that I think the adaptation would need to be Muppety. I don’t want to see Muppet Avengers because that just feels too corporate and wouldn’t give the muppets enough room to be themselves. The thing they are adapting can be more serious, but you need to be able to really imagine how muppet hijinks would fit in to it.
Anyways, I say all this because I’ve thought for a while now that if any book made sense to get a Muppet coat of paint, it would be Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I know it has way too many adaptations already, but it really does just seem like a perfect environment to me for muppet shenanigans. The muppets are known for visual humor and physical puppet comedy so they could really go ham with all the candy consequences. Also, rat Oompa Loompas. Just saying
okay but like the way they introduced the fatal flaws was so subtle and soooo insanely good. like alecto playing on annabeth's pride to get her to give up percy versus medusa appealing to percy's loyalty to get him to give up annabeth and grover. sooo good fr fr.
wait one thing I really hope they don't change is Percy and Annabeth just waltzing right into Medusa's lair while Grover's in the corner having a panic attack like "Guys somethings wrong about this place we should leave" and then Dumbass #1 and Dumbass #2 are like "Ugh shut up Grover you're being rude"
