the wailings of a drunk, teenage punk screeches through broken speakers a shitty set up of microphones run into amps, all sticky and shorting from beer. there's the zap ! zap ! of wires ready to split open, and the pffzt ! pffzt ! of a bass amp that's struggling to get to the end of this set. even through the haphazard thrashing of sweaty bodies covered in spikes and shredded denim, betty stumbles out of the crowd. big grin spreads across her face. she leans in, shouting : “ hey you ! i didn’t think you would come ! ”
