as an update, kaey will most likely be moving to a multi-muse ! and then if I want to make him his own blog from there I will. I'm just trying to consolidate, honestly. I really do hope to resume writing him, but it has been nice to focus elsewhere. I'm hoping a good break will have me back in a creative mindset for him !

this upcoming week is my spring break, so I hope to be able to get some things done, organized at the very least. in the meantime... I'm on my other blog, and you can also find me on discord, my username is sealkii ! sending love to the dash !

hey all. hope everyone is doing okay ! I've been over here. honestly it's been awesome having muse and being able to write again owo as for kaey and this blog, I'm most likely going to be remaking at some point. I know I keep saying that, but I mean it this time; the intent is absolutely to move to a new blog, whether that be a multi or single muse dedicated solely to kaey.

however, in the meantime, I will be on shade and this blog will be on hiatus, or you can add me and find me on discord ( sealkii ) !

as a note, I will be doing some... upkeep, so to speak, on this blog. essentially I am going through a "packing" process in preparation to move. making things easier for me to manage, organize, etc.

I've just softblocked anyone I was not mutuals with or had unfollowed due to inactivity; this was mostly to help me figure out who I will be following on the new blog, and as usual not an indication of any particular feelings, i.e. ya'll are more than welcome to refollow me here or when I make the new blog. uwu some other changes: clearing out my drafts & inbox, as well as removing the affiliates from my pinned post (though I will note them down and include them on the new blog; it doesn't mean I love yall any less <3).

okay but does anyone else just squints when they find a blog under an alias that they're familiar with, whether for good or bad reasons, and try to figure out if its the same person or not ? like. or am I just nosy / awkward ?

not my friend making me cry in voice chat, telling me that as difficult as it may seem the best thing I can do is keep being myself. he said he understood my heartache, but wished he could care about things like I did. that it's something more rare than I think. he told me I was a good person, a sweet person, and he would always respect me for being genuinely thoughtful and caring. even after explaining how it was both a blessing and a curse, that it had been used against me, he was adamant that I not change. I didn't think that would hit me as hard as it did, but I literally had to keep from sobbing in his ear. it was so incredibly validating ♡ I'm so thankful for him ; w ;

also yes, kaey is that guy that puts fruit and veggies and herbs in his water. he'll drink plain water but flavored water is so much more novel to him, he loves it.

My messages came from a place of worry, because I truly don't want to watch you burn. yourself out trying to force a hobby. I've watched too many wonderfully talented writers do it, and it makes me fearful that you'll fall victim to the "I must reply" cycle as well. Please do take care of yourself

I'm a little brain-addled from social interaction but I didn't want to leave this on read and have you worry, anon ! please please please know: I did not feel criticized or attacked by your messages, and my decisions since regarding my activity here / how I have been feeling have nothing to do with your messages. <3

if anything your messages enabled me to come to terms with myself; I've been trying to do other things, focus my attention elsewhere etc, in an effort to broaden my horizons a bit, give me more to do than be dependent on tumblr. and I think its been working ! so you've helped more than you've hurt, honestly. I'm taking care of myself by letting myself do other things and not let tumblr or rp rule my life.

honestly I just felt. really isolated and pointless and I didn't feel like I occupied a meaningful space within the rpc. so I knew I needed to step back. honestly I made the blog for shade, tried putting myself out there, and then felt cold and silly and, well, stupid for doing it at all. I felt invisible and knew being on tumblr wasn't doing anything for me or my mental health, so I've been doing other stuff.

and I've been really lucky that my friends on discord have been around and been able to spend time with me. <3 we've been playing our bg3 campaign together and chatting in our group so. I definitely don't feel as alone. and I haven't been thinking about tumblr or rp which is... nice. refreshing. weird, kinda. but good. better.

so anyway. you have nothing to apologize / feel bad for / etc. I actually really appreciate that you took the time, and were so... just how you were, I don't know. but it was very obvious to me that you were coming from a good place and I don't think you could have done it any better than you did ! so I appreciate your worry, the time you've put into these messages. and want to assure you I'm doing pretty good, for what its worth ! and taking your advice, so.

I've never really felt like I owed anyone anything. it was just a matter of existing in a way befitting an rper. i.e. actually interacting and doing things like that. but that's still something that can cause burnout. and there's no point in hitting my head against a wall trying to break it down. I'll figure out the muse thing eventually, I'm sure. but right now I'm just trying to take your advice by taking a break !

more bg3 crew shenanigans ! in todays episode of chaos, I created a murder of crows, got sent to jail while the rest of the group was in combat elsewhere, and accidentally incited the rage of shar by stealing her dagger. then, the rest of the group got temporarily locked in a room while I was busy going after loot and I had to save them. I am very easily sidetracked, what can I say. I also accidentally started combat more than once just by exploring XD
