I’ve been thinking about this post a lot lately.

Alright last post here

I have a few things queued up and I’m going to leave the account up in case tumblr grows some courage and rescinds this policy (which I feel is not only anti lgbt expression/lgbt body positivity and misogynistic but also a blow to the community of sex workers who have relied on this website as a platform for years) but I’m out! I’m deleting this app from my phone (which has been broken for weeks anyway) and I’ll come back if and only if tumblr changes their policies. In the mean time I recommend calling your representatives about SESTA/FOSTA or writing in to express dissent. Keep your eyes on your local news for protests and opportunities to stand up for sex workers.

it worries me so much that there’s been this (mostly unintentional) culture built up around coming out, to where young lgbt kids are putting themselves in danger at school and at home because they don’t want to “live a lie.” i just want to say, i came out when i was 15 and it created a lot of difficulties in my life that i could have avoided by waiting until i was older. it isolated me socially, it exposed me to homophobia from my parents, my family, my teachers, and my classmates at the most important developmental stages of my own confidence and sense of self… closeted people are not living a lie. closeted people are surviving. don’t let anyone pressure you to come out before you’re ready. don’t put yourself at risk when you don’t have to.

Are you kidding me. Seriously, fuck Disney. They buy out a studio just to shut them down and now we’re going to be deprived of a movie that could have been incredible. Blue Sky was about to make a movie adaptation of Noelle Stevenson’s comic Nimona, a creative and wonderful story with LGBT leads and a unique style. This is why I don’t trust Disney; they take over everything and shut down any sort of progress that doesn’t fit their money-making agenda. Capitalism breeds innovation my ass.

This is “Mother Mary”, the owner of Blackberry’s mother.

She made all the cakes for the restaurant while it was open. Chef Gordon Ramsay tried her red velvet cake, and spoke this meme-able line:

He then called Mary over, complimented her food, and gave her a peck on the cheek.

anyways, I hope she has been able to continue her love for baking since the restaurant closed down.
