Alright, I didn’t want to do this but I need to share this. Some things were brought to my attention, and I’ve learned a few upsetting stuff.

As some of you might remember, I used to RP with this Komaeda RPer known as Null. We used to talk over discord, and between the two of us and Yoly, we did a bunch of threads on tumblr and talked a lot about various things: about meta, ideas for threads, gushed over our muses, shipping and, on occasion, talked about personal stuff. Yoly, being a blog hopper, would also pay attention to her other muses but Null and I kept on until they disappeared. I figured out that they moved on to another fandom, as people do. It isn’t unusual for people to disappear.

Months later, Null appeared and apologized, explaining that they had some issues with a few people and then told me about Naoi/Komari talking shit about me. You can refer to the ‘abridged’ version in which I address to it here, if you may. At the time Null begged me to don’t confront them or tell anybody, fearing repercussions. I respected my friend, who also had a lot of personal troubles that they’d shared with us throughout these months. They apologized for believing in the lies and said that it was the reason why they left and not told me anything. Then Null proceeded to make a new Komaeda blog, komacda , replied a bit and disappeared.

A while after, I was told by a third party that when they were chatting with Null, they were told that “we aren’t friends anymore”, which was a surprise for me. ‘Okay’, I thought ‘ they were probably ashamed because of the Komari thing and felt bad about interacting with me again’. I was sad, but what to do, right?

In the meanwhile, a new Komaeda blog , hopehaunted, showed up and blocked me outright. No explanation. Nothing. Alright, things like that happen: sometimes you block people without meeting them for whatever reason. You do what you must to deal with your mental health. But as it was triggering my own mental health, I blacklisted them and asked my closest friends who interacted with them to don’t mention them to me because of that. No harm in that, live and let live. I had even forgotten about that blog.

Some new old people showed up in my life and confirmed what Null had told me about Komari. It was when I decided to make that public post I linked earlier. But one of them also showed me this:

The deleted one is Komari, and the blurred one is Null. Keep in mind that, at the time, our muses not only had many threads together and also were starting to ship our muses. Even after these messages, we kept on talking and supporting them during their personal issues.  I was hurt, of course, but I was still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt: sometimes, when in a toxic place people would agree with certain people to avoid getting bullied. To do what you must to survive.

A few weeks ago, months after that, I was told that hopehaunted was Null. There was no indication of that in their blog, but it made sense. I was relieved that it made sense, but something immediately sparked: I recalled seeing hopehaunted shipping with someone whose they constantly talked shit about on our little group chat, and before that had badmouthed that person too in a server and this one RPer was aware of that, so they weren’t in good terms for a very long time. They had been interacting for months and I wondered if this person was aware that Anna was Null. It turns out that they weren’t. Not only Null had bamboozled this person, but their excuse for blocking me was that “Yoly and her friends talked bad things about them” and that made them uncomfortable with interacting with me. Whoever has met Yoly knows that she’d never talk anything bad about anybody.

So, to recap: Null talked shit about this person while shipping with Yoly and starting to ship with me. Under a new identity, Null started talking shit about Yoly and shipping with the person they used to trash talk. I was ghosted, my friends were betrayed and the three of us were slandered.

Soon as the genie was out of the bottle, Null/Anna proceeded to abandon their hopehaunted blog and made a new blog, hopeborne ,  this time finally admitting that they are the one and the same because there is no point in denying anymore, huh? They also decided to go by Topaz and made a Naegi ( stayshopeful ) too for good measure. Basically, when things got bad they just up, abandoned the blog and started anew like nothing had happened and hoped nobody would to be any wiser.

You know, there is no way that all that wasn’t malicious. I’m done giving Null the benefit of the doubt or letting them keep on spreading lies about me or my friends. Do you want to keep on being friends with them? Sure, you do you, but that it was how it ended for me. I’ll be blocking and blacklisting the new blogs urls, I don’t want anything to do with Null/Anna/Topaz anymore. To address what they said in that screenshot: I do enjoy pointing out the canon, but I’ve never forced anybody to follow it. This is why RPing is so fun: to explore and fix the crap the canon does. And I also often remind people that I know I can be overbearing sometimes, so they can just tell me and I’ll be more mindful in the future. This is how a healthy relationship goes: if you have an issue, you TALK to people and don’t smear their names.
