if there was one thing gunmin was very careful about, it was his secret identity. he wasn’t one to brag of his powers nor did he like the attention he would be given if the word got out. he preferred a quiet life in his apartment. there was no way he would do an interview. however, jiwook was a good friend of his and it was hard to reject. “i don’t know...”

she had only one job for the night and she couldn’t fail, not when the big boss was watching her. hanee passed the front entrance with ease but as soon as she landed on the other side, a bright line was shone at her direction, causing her to groan softly. this wasn’t suppose to happen, there was no way she could leave without it. “what do you mean private property? are you sure?” she gave her best innocent look.

               ❝ is there a reason you’re trespassing on private property? ❞ the cop asks, flashlight beam directed at the mystery trespasser. he’s sans jiyeon for once, enjoying the temporary break from his “partner” and something easy like escorting someone away from somewhere they aren’t supposed to be is just what he needs. ❝ come on, it’s time to leave. ❞

            the small collision had left her for the most part unbothered , celeste watching the papers fall to the ground and scatter about the floor with little intention of helping COLLECT them. dark eyes returning to the dimly lit screen of her cellphone before his words ( oh? was he still here ) had drawn her gaze.  ‘ yeah i was. if your head wasn’t up your entitled hairy man ass , YOU wouldn’t have run into me. ’  the nineteen year old having an unchecked , sharp tongue with an attitude to match. celeste then  s t e p p i n g  on one of his papers , flicking it back with the flat part of her heel as she moved on past him. 

the ceo wasn’t used to being talked down like this. he had always been respected and feared by everyone. this was the first time someone actually dared to speak up against him. he couldn’t help but to scoff at her words. she clearly had no idea who she was speaking to. “excuse me?” clearly he was in disbelief as she seemed unfazed by him and just walked away casually. “did you not attend school? i’m quite certain they at least taught you some manners or perhaps you were too busy to even learn something. your parents must feel so ashamed of you.”

             trust was a fickle thing and it had been shattered. minae never having been one to easily give her FAITH away , but she had given it away to her freely. one drunk night bringing her past the station enough to bring all that assurance crumbling down. it didn’t matter how many shots were in her system ; minae couldn’t forget the betrayal.  ‘ no , i DON’T know you. i only know your alias. the identity you created for yourself. so cut the shit , pig. ’

it was a dangerous job for various reasons, including the feelings that were involved in the process but that was what she was trained to be like, emotionless, uncaring. she was hired to do something and she wasn’t about to fuck it up because of something as futile as feelings. “i think you’ve had enough drinks. you’re not yourself right now so why don’t we just head back to your place.”

             ‘ the first time i sprained my ACL i was in high school. the second time was about six months ago running after the ice cream truck. believe me , i KNOW how to treat an ACL. ’  the girl looked down at him ,  l i f t i n g  his leg up to help gently stretch the tense muscle. it was funny–– the whole situation was the universe in disguise just continuing to LAUGH at the young blogger. haneul’s unluckiness in life having prepared her to help him in this apparently dire time of need… how lucky for him.  ‘ just.. stop moving. ’

gabriel couldn’t help the feeling of uneasiness as his knee continued to throb. there’s no way he could miss the race since hundreds of his fans had already bought tickets just to see him race, he couldn’t let them down. “since you seem to be an expert in this, how long does it usually take before it gets better?” hopefully, it just takes a day for everything to get better. there was nothing worse than an injury for him to call off a race.

if seyong didn’t expect the words that came out of her mouth, he didn’t show it. instead, seyong ended up scoffing as he continued to scroll through his phone. “hey, i’m not the one who offered a place to stay. the least you could do is to keep your word. and second,” he said, imitating her tone. “who said anything about relationships? i think you’ve got it all mixed up. perhaps you’re the one who’s getting attached to me.”
