For those that weren’t aware; I haven’t been in the best headspace as of late. My mother passed away on Christmas Eve from surgery complications, immediately after that I had to start moving into a new house because my previous home was bought out, & in the midst of trying to deal with that; I got hit with Covid after being able to avoid it for almost two years & my car kind of blew up temporarily. The last month or so since my mother passed has been almost one thing right after the other & the only way I’ve been able to really cope is to hyperfixate on things; whether it’s a certain muse, or a video game, or a hobby. I’m trying to take time to finally process & just take time to actually grieve without something interrupting me. I know no one really needed this post but the point of this was to thank everyone that sent in their anonymous messages because of @createsrunes​ / @affcgato​; your words of kindness and heartfelt messages have been incredibly needed at this time in my life & I’m so thankful for such a safe space on this hellsite. I’m gonna be dropping them in a read more & under my positivity tag so that I always have them to look back on when I need a pick me up. I love you all, I can’t wait to be back writing like I used to. You’re all amazing & I love seeing your muses on my dash. <3

Imagination like hers was rare. It was a talent that could hardly be recognized until it was too late. As often was the case. But fortunately for her, she would be an outlier. A special case molded by his own hands; made to see her potential now rather than later as she too, he expects, would come out of the water: Monster Reborn.

He pulls his eye away from his desk. His previous priority the accounting, now her. Watching as tendrils flowed and ebbed from her thoughts. Always just a little shaky.  Hanging loosely from the moore. He grips the reigns a little tighter. Fingers gripping her jaw gently, stilling her motions, her thoughts, her words with practiced ease.

“ And you’d rather believe those who doubt you than me? Wasn’t it me who took you in when she left you? Or was it someone else.”

IMMEDIATELY, CHAOS QUIETS IN her mind & Jinx focuses on Silco; his fingers light yet firm on her chin, their gazes locked as unspoken words pass between them. He is right, he always is. Silco saved her from the Lanes harshness the night that Violet left her behind in that alley; burning ruins surrounding them as her pleas reverberated off burning walls. It was Silco who shielded her from the darkness of Zaun until he believed she was ready & it was Silco who put the confidence in her that led her throughout life; she had no right to listen to the cronies he hired.

‘I would never doubt you. How could I? You’re the reason I’m here, that I even exist now.’ Her lower lip trembles for a moment & she takes a deep breath, eyes closing for a moment as her mind rests. ‘But, Sevika talks & sometimes; it’s like she is trying to convince me otherwise. & I know I shouldn’t listen to her, half the time; most of what she says goes in one ear & out the other. She says that I’m going to fail you, that you’re going to give up on me. That all it’s going to take is one episode for you to realize I’m better off out of your hands.’
