Growing up Minato didn't have a family to keep him company and struggled to form meaningful emotional bonds and as a result he read to pass the time when he wasn't training. He'll read anything. It's not uncommon to find him pacing around the house while reading, usually while performing basic tasks like fetching dishes and straightening up.

While Fugaku and Minato would have a precarious relationship in canon due to them both being leaders and the Uchiha's strange position in the village I can see them not hating one another. Minato is more reasonable than Hiruzen and without the 9 tails attack the Uchiha aren't pushed into a corner.

I can actually see them hanging out under the guise of making their wives happy while carefully not mentioning the political motivations they both have.

I do feel that Minato giving Kakashi a Kunai is sort of a slap in the face that Kakashi thankfully didn’t notice. We know Minato doesn’t truly think Kakashi is ready as a Shinobi, he almost outright says so during their bell test. He’s impulsive, a bit rude, arrogant too. Kakashi still has a lot of growing up to do so Minato gives him a sealed Kunai just in case he has to rush to Kakashi’s aid.
