im back in the countryside with all what that entails 😶‍🌫️ such as the terrible tea mugs and wearing double layer socks LMAO. i havent read as of yet today but i intend to read a bit of julian of norwich now before drenching myself in school work and dinner preparations.

and oh i didn't fast today bc of traveling, that's all 🤫

im making yet another new blog¿? ive had previous ones for languages, casual bloging, food bloging.. and now it appears im creating a bookblr 😬 catch me forget about it in a week lowkey

anyhowww im thinking the best way to start this might be to idk introduce myself a bit 🥺 and ill do so in bullet form bc i love lists

• my name is hasna, im 22 y/o and a native swede (convert to Islam).

• i currently study ALM science, more specifically im doing a masters degree in library and information science.

• i previously did a bachelors degree in arabic and MENA studies, writing my thesis on Ishmael and his roles in the Quran.

• im incredibly interested in the humanities field of research: religion, philosophy, history, culture studies, languages and the like.

• i speak swedish, english and arabic. ive also studied french and russian (and on my own begun to learn turkish, romanian, hebrew, georgian, slovenian, lithuanian... etc, but i tend to start lang projects without getting very far, so don't think i speak those 😢)

• i love classical music and folk music from practically all over the world. some of my favorite folk music is that of turkey, bulgaria, mali, sudan, romania, sweden... i could go on for long tbh. some of my favorite composers are vaughan williams, debussy, ravel, satie, saint-saëns, janáček, dvořak, kreisler, peterson-berger... and so on.

• i love literature and i love to read, but im a slow reader and i hate reading e-books/ pdfs. the main reason i read is to 🤓learn🤓, so my favorite genre is nonfiction (philosophy, religion, history, biographies, poetry etc) and therefor i feel i cant relate much to most booktubers and bookblrs?? the only fiction im generally interested in is like the classics.
