well might as well make this official now that the group is on hiatus.

all of my blogs affiliated with the group (this one, akira, alyssa & amelia) will be on indefinite hiatus. if/when they come back will be dependent on vrael coming back but for now? i’m not really gonna be around much on any of their blogs. i’ll probably poke in from time to time but honestly? i don’t really think i’ll be doing much on these blogs. i do house all these muses on an indie multimuse that you can ask for since that’s where most of my energy for tumblr rp is now days.

well. hmm. been trying to settle on something considering what’s happening with the group and well. i’ve come to an answer for what to do with my blogs here.

once the group goes on hiatus i’m going to be around but very sparingly. i won’t be around every day but maybe a handful of days. really it depends on how i’m feeling. until then i’ll be around here doing stuff as i see fit across all my blogs. i do rp maki, akira and alyssa on an indie multimuse that you can feel free to ask for since that’s where i am around more with rp these days (and i may or may not be adding amelia there but i’m unsure since she came from another group here & i haven’t developed her main verse enough) but otherwise? my affiliated blogs will basically be on indefinite hiatus once vrael goes on hiatus.

and that’s basically it! otherwise you can catch me mainly on twitter and/or discord if you have me there. see ya all around!

As much as Akamatsu would love to run on her own energy, even she has her limits. Tiredness catches up to her faster than she’d like to admit it. With the weight of her past on her shoulders, exhaustion is inescapable. But she refuses to let that stop her, even if it means getting some caffeinated assistance. After all, there’s far too much she wants to know about this city. And she doesn’t know where to start.

At least, that’s her intention as she exits the cafe. An endeavor that is short lived. A familiar face stops the pianist in her tracks. “H-Harukwa-san..?! You’re here too..!!” Akamatsu exclaims. Though they hadn’t been close, she can’t hide her surprise. And relief? Or confusion. She can’t quite place her feelings given how little she knows. Can she call this city safe? She doesn’t want a repeat of that situation. It leaves her… uncertain.

     Maki’s never really been one to not know what her limits are. She’s used to pushing herself harder and harder (whether by her own will or being forced to she couldn’t tell you) so they’ve always been changing. Now though? Maki’s been able to find what works best for her, and she’s more than grateful for that. There’s not really a rush to do anything here or a rush to figure out things. She’ll figure out stuff in time, she figures.

     What she does figure out though, is that she’ll never really get used to seeing her former classmates showing up alive again. It’s happened to her before (not just here, considering where she was before) but it’s still something that she can’t truly get used to. She doesn’t know if she wants to get used to it. Still, seeing Akamatsu again brings... some feeling that she doesn’t know quite how to place it. Relief? Joy? Contentment? Accepting? It’s hard to tell but... she’s not mad the pianist is here, even if they were never close before, considering all that happened.

     “Akamatsu... Yeah, I’m here as well. It’s... good to see you. I guess you just got here?”

Ah, that would explain that…Aura. Like she knows what she’s doing and how much she knows about this place. The Doctor hummed and nodded, validating her in his head.

“Ah, I’m the Doctor! Just…’Doctor’ is fine.” he gave a warm smile at Maki, “Madman with a box and whatnot. Don’t ask about my real name, humans won’t understand it.” He decided against shaking Maki’s hand; he’s trying to be less touchy feely with strangers (it turns out, it wasn’t a good idea to randomly shake people’s hands.)

“Nice to meet you, Maki! Glad I met you, it’s nice to meet a person who’s been here a bit longer than me. Makes…coming here a bit easier, I suppose.” Sure, he met people while coming here but they seem to be in a similar boat as him. Or at least they stayed here a little bit longer than him.

It felt nice.

“Again, sorry. Bit out of my depth here; new world, new place but nothing like any other that I’ve been in. And I’ve been to many worlds and planets, so to speak. Also…I feel a bit funny. Dunno why though…Feels like I’m blocked off from something but I don’t know what. So strange…”

     While she doesn’t know necessarily everything about this place, at least she knows what she’s doing around here. And she does know from than him so that’s something at least.

     Well that’s... weird, she has to say. Not like she can really say anything given how weird this place is but, it’s still weird. At least she has a name of sorts to call him by, so that’s something. It’s a bit weird to hear her first name so casually since not a lot of people called her by it back at the academy and before that well... it had been a long time since anyone’s called her by it.

     “...Nice to meet you too.” Her expression is still carefully neutral but it’s a bit softer than it was before. She’s not good at the whole trying to help people thing and all that but... she’s trying her best. It’s better than nothing after all. And well, she knows first hand how it can feel to be thrown into a new place without anyone you know beside you.

     She’s been in that boat before.

     “It’s fine, this place is a lot to take in after all.” From a city to this country is a lot for her to have dealt with personally but it’s not like he needs to know that. An eyebrow is raised at that statement, thought she’s not really sure what to say. She’s just human after all. “Could be something about this place. I don’t really know. I’m just a normal high school student after all.” Sure if normal means that she’s an assassin and went through a killing game but he doesn’t need to know about that.

“I wonder how he did that. I was going to ask how but he left and now I’m stuck here wondering how he did it and mulling about why the air has a fizzy and bubbly taste to it.” he then paused. He was rambling on again wasn’t he? He did enjoy the audience of the young lady but he can sense that maybe he was talking a bit much. Gotta work on that now that he doesn’t have Amy and Rory and River around him.

“…By chance, are you new here too?”

     “Well, it’s not like I can blame you for that.” Really she can’t, considering that’s how she reacted as well, both here and that other city. Both of these had been strange situations but she’s been managing at least. It’s all she can really do after all. Adapt and just hope that this world that she’s found herself in this time is better than where she came from.

     And well. At least this world seems to be better. Maki really can’t say much since while she thinks she’s been here long enough she knows that it really doesn’t feel like that. Probably from her keeping to herself most of the time but... she’s trying her best. Small steps.

...She wonders if someone would be proud of how much she’s grown.

     Red eyes look over him, letting him ramble before he pauses. Well it’s not like she hasn’t seen those people before. She almost rolls her eyes at his comment; she’s not new by any means but in a way she is since she hasn’t done much around here. “Nope. I’ve been here a few months, just haven’t done much really.” Keeping to herself, old habits die hard in the end. “Guess more people are showing up here or whatever... so I guess it was just chance that I happened to find you. ...Maki Harukawa by the way. And you are?”

“It’s just…this world’s air composition is similar to that of Earth’s but with a hint of something else. It’s on the tip of my tongue, but I’m not too sure what it is exactly. Never tasted something in the air like this before!” He’s been to many, many worlds and many periods of time but something like this was new to him.

It’s exciting.

“I’ll probably get it in a minute; sometimes it takes a while for me to pick up on things–Sorry, was I bothering you miss?”

     Breath in, and out... and resist the urge to roll your eyes...

     This place really was weird. She knew that from the beginning but still this was... something. Maki wasn’t really sure what to say to this it just... sounded bizarre. Then again this whole place was but... it’s better than the killing game, so she can’t really complain. Still doesn’t mean she’s ready to deal with everything this world had to offer.

     From one strange situation to another, huh.

     “Not really but...” you’re strange, is what she wants to say, but she feels like she doesn’t need to say that. “...It’s nothing. I guess you’re new here?”

     She’s not really meaning to snap at him, but her words come out harsher than she intends them to. Sure this place is weird and all but it’s not a bad place or anything. Magic’s a bit weird but... she’s gotten used to it, and how this world works. Or at least she thinks shes getting used to it. She really hopes she is.

     “This isn’t... Earth or whatever. Did you even pay attention to what happened once you arrived here?”

     She blinks, once, twice, three times at the sight in front of her. This was happening again, wasn’t it? That he was suddenly alive and well again?

     Well, stranger things have happened to her after all. This is...the least of what she should worry about.

     But seeing Rantaro Amami alive in front of her again is...still a lot for her to have to deal with. Seeing the survivor, who died by the mastermind’s hands, who was trying to stop the mastermind...it brought out a lot of complicated feelings within her. Who would’ve thought she would care this much when the game first started and when she first saw his dead body in front of her?

     (Maki wonders if she hadn’t changed, would she have felt this confused and yet relived upon seeing him again?)

     “Amami.” she greets, finally having walked over to him. “It’s...nice to see you again. You’ve been here long?”

    Oh, there’s a face she hoped she’d never see again.

     Maki Harukawa’s relationship with Kokichi Ouma has...never been good. Or easy to deal with for that matter. They’re two liars: her about her talent and him in general. Two people that have never gotten along, and had different ways of surviving the killing game: he’d lie and she’d ignore everyone. It’s...hard to know how to deal with someone who lies like he needs it to survive, like air.

     And well...after everything that had happened in the game, she doesn’t know where she stands with him. She’d tried to kill him, he’d died as a result of what she’d done (not by her hands of course, but it was her actions that had lead to what happened.

     After everything though, it’s hard to know what to feel about him. He’s a victim, just like all of them. All normal high school studnets turned into these...people that they think they are. It’s still a lot to think about, all that.

     For now, she just crosses her arms over her chest and stares at him. “Ouma.” She greets. Better to get this over with now than never, even if she would’ve preferred that.

     She doesn’t get this at all.

     First she was in a city, and now she’s in another place like it, but also not at the same time? Maki doesn’t get what’s happening to her at all. It’s been so long for her it feels like since she’s been home and honestly, that’s probably for the best in some ways, considering what her home is like.

     Oh well, at least she still has a place to live at. And she has to admit she does rather like the arrangements she has (it reminds of her of where she was before, those distance memories that feel like from so long ago, a city of love instead of this country) she can...only hope that things will be fine here.

     Or well, as close to fine as things can get.

     The apartment that’s to be her housing while she’s here does have another room, so she wonders if that means she has a roommate. Maki guesses that she does, but she hasn’t seen them yet. Maybe they’re just not in the apartment or haven’t wanted to come out of their room yet?

     For now, she sits out in the living room, as to wait for them. She’s not about to rush them to come out or anything, but she’d like to catch them when she can. So she’ll wait until she sees them, hopefully they can get along.
