you know what i fail to understand about ok jaanu now that i’ve watched ok kanmani? how are they planning to pull this film off i mean like….bruh this movie’s bound to flop the original is rife with cultural references i mean they literally met and got close because they were the only tamilians in bombay that they actually knew each other and the whole soundtrack has all these karnatic tracks, bhavani’s a karnatic singer, there’s this defined parallel between the conservative karnatic-background old couple between the new live-in relationship couple that mix and understand each other’s ways and pick up bits and pieces from i.e tara’s singing for bhavani auntie and how adi’s learning about the pros in marriage and stuff. there’s all the this important background material that creates the somewhat clash-like world of ok kanmani that makes the movie so rich as well i don’t see any of that in ok jaanu 

plus they oversexualized the movie so much i mean what were they even thinking i mean god it’s like a mess bro i mean the humma song literally looks like they’re going to pound each other and then parandhu sella va is all like cutesy cuddles and lil kid jumping and then them just calling it a day as sleeping i don’t remember tara pushing adi down w her foot sexually anywhere like hmmmmm idk man stop sexualizing things k thanks
