創會會長文良生先生乃英國著名愛國僑領, 痛於11月6日在港遽然騎鶴，登西天極樂福壽全歸！

相議籌辦追思會悼念文老先生一生戮力推動哈勞華人中心及華人子弟之中文教育，數十年孜孜不倦，春風化雨福澤僑社。

This became the Harlow & District Chinese Community Centre in 2000, a registered charity, which also provides community support to the elderly.

Our father also suffered from Alzheimer’s disease in his later years. We are thankful for organisations such as these that have provided information and support to those suffering from the disease in Hong Kong. He was also a friend of Dr Charles Kao and his family, who lived and worked in Harlow for a while. Dr Kao also suffered from Alzheimer’s.

Two members of Harlow's Chinese community met Prime Minister David Cameron during a reception at 10 Downing Street yesterday (Monday, February 23). Andy Ho and Dr Philip Li were accompanied by Harlow MP Robert Halfon after receiving an invite to join the PM at an official celebration of the Chinese New Year. This invitation was in recognition of Mr Ho and Dr Li's contribution to the wider Harlow community. Advertisement Earlier in the day Mr Halfon attended a New Year celebration at the centre in Commonside Road. Mr Halfon said: "I am proud that Harlow has the biggest Chinese community centre outside of any major city in UK. It provides a club for residents, a school for young children and a venue for host of other activities. "It is wonderful to see both Chinese and English students learning Mandarin at the school. Harlow is made a better place by the contribution of the Chinese community and I congratulate everyone involved in running the centre and making it such a success".
