in all TRUTHFULNESS, harley didn't PLAN on things getting so out of hand. an attempted robbery of a too-too small pet store, turned into a car chase, turned into multiple car crashes, turned into police helicopters and explosions -- aaaand finally down the line, a miss harley quinn fleeing the chaos on foot with laughter bubbling over her lips. cutting through the park would SURELY assure her escape.

of course, she didn't EXPECT to meet one of the big names in superheroin' to pop up out of nowhere. she's WAY below their paygrade, right? still -- at the sudden sight of wonder woman before her, she skids to an IMMEDIATE halt. wide eyed and full of wonder, a huge grin crosses her face.

sure, she should be focused on running, and trying to get away. but let's be honest. with the wagon filled with puppies being pulled behind her, there's NO WAY she'd get away. not even like fleeing is an option in the face of someone like this hero. besides! she'd be a FOOL to miss this opportunity.

"WOWWZERS! would ya lookkit that! ain't every day ya get to see someone of ya caliber around here!" chirped to show that excitement.

late at night and there's RARELY anything good that comes out of those that feel comfortable in this darkness. yet, while a lone figure in the darkness should be OMINOUS, that vibe is certainly broken up by the way that she skips along the park sidewalk -- and the way that belted lyrics fall from her painted on smile off key.

" ooh ! youu can dance, you can ji-ive -- having the TIME of yooour li-iiife! "

in one hand? a leash, a hyena impossibly tethered to her -- trotting along happily beside her. she stops her progress briefly to tap her shoulders and in a moment, she has his front paws in her hands, dancing joyously with her furry companion, seemingly utterly lost in the song that she continues to belt out.

" ooooh! see that GIRL, watch that SCENE ! digging the da-ancing queen~ ! "

if one looked CAREFULLY, they might also spot flecks of blood on pale skin. but did that really matter when a gal was so LOST in the joy of dancing queen?

already plotting to ZOOM away at the nearest convenience, harley quinn is always thinking up some kind of FANTASTICAL way out of her unfortunate situations. it might be EASY to assume the eccentric woman might REALLY have just been speeding, but a quick glance into the backseat of her car reveals all the PARAPHANELIA related to the crime she is currently fleeing. glitter in her touseled hair and a smudge of red dye on her cheek, but she smiles with that TRADEMARK smile.

play it off, and maybe JUST maybe she can totally laugh off her connection to the robbery and subsequent ASS-KICKING of multiple parties behind her ( some of them DESERVED it, she'd argue. complete ASSHOLES out to ruin her time. )

" i PROMISE i'm a real good driver, i can toootally handle goin' this fast. don't cha know what it's like ta be late? my sister's havin' a baby an' i'm supposed ta be there -- soooo... i gotta go, sound good? ya don't hate BABY'S do ya? "

a simple, and quite frankly completely unnecessary statement. her plans had been made with batman in mind, joker was gonna swoop in and finish up -- but now? now everything's gone to shit. harley gives a little laugh, as though she weren't currently wheeling a barrel of toxic waste. she leans on it, with a grin.

she's no MATCH for a hero like him, but that doesn't mean she can't play the game. tipping her head with that same smile written there she can't help but run through all the possibilities in her head.

" say, does this mean i gotta reputation now? sendin' in th'big guns like you, i must be in a LOOOOT of trouble, right supes? "

despite her little pep talk, it seems her attempts have failed, based on the way she flops back from where she HAD been sitting on the ground. with a groan, she runs her hands down her face, just staying there. you know. for the dramatics. she shivers a bit, hardly dressed for the weather. or maybe it's a shudder, who knows. whatever her problem is, she's not doing too hot -- and the thoughts just aren't coming. "uuuughughugh ! i know ! i'll juust... i'll do something so bad he HAS to acknowledge i know what i'm doing. yeah! yeah! that's IT! "

harley sounds EXASPERATED. she's out here blowing off steam following another fall out with joker -- and what she defines as NOT too bad happens to be robbing a pet store. of course, she'll HAPPILY point out how small the cages are and how much the puppies eyes SCREAMED save me.

after all, when she exists in a cuddly softness-less relationship, it only seems RIGHT to fill the void with other currently unloved furry creatures, right? more babies to take care of alongside her hyenas. but that doesn't stop the frustrated look from lingering on her face as she stares at him.

" i'm reeeeally not in the mood for this tonight. can't you just... i dunno. walk away? turn a blind eye? pleeeeease?"

boisterous as ever in her general greeting, skidding to a stop in the moonlight -- allowing WHOEVER she had been chasing with her comically sized mallet to escape her terror. ( not that it was for anything IMPORTANT, she just thought it was funny )

but how could she say no to stopping by someone just as OFF THEIR ROCKER as her. seems like a customary HELLO ought to suffice. or... something along those lines.

a flash of RED HAIR is all it takes for harley to duck and weave amidst the crowded street. somehow so SOLD on it being ivy out on the prowl with that single glance. intuition and all, harley could SWEAR she had some kind of special secret power for knowing when her bestie was nearby.

" hey !! ives !! wait up !! heeeeey iv--- " she stops short suddenly when she reaches said figure with red hair. she blinks once, than twice -- a clear disappointment flitting across her features as she looks at the other. hands fall on her hips and she shrugs. " well ain't that jus' disappointin'. i thought ya were somebody else."

[ so i've been away from tumblr for a while now, before the whole legacy posts/beta posts being more of an issue. i downloaded xkit rewritten for trimming posts but i'm still struggling a bit with that. does anyone have any tips and tricks for formatting and cutting things? because i know it struggles with crossover posts between beta and legacy ]
