.·:*¨ ✘♚✘ ¨*:·.  It wasn't as though Billy couldn't empathize with the want for fantasy. His own upbringing was just harsh as Chrissy's and when he was younger, he'd often dream about living a different life in a different world. The years were cruel to him, though, and the only way that Billy could survive was to harden and match that cruelty. It's not that he wanted to be a dick to the blonde. Quite the opposite. Chrissy was one of his few friends, someone that understood what he'd been through because she went through it, too. What he wanted was to protect her, even if that meant smashing her rose colored glasses.

"I get it," he said truthfully, pulling his gaze from her to stare off into nothing. "We can create our own ending in a fantasy. But dreaming won't do shit about our situation now." He sighed, hating how harsh he sounded to one of the sweetest people in the world. Maybe she needed it, though, he reasoned with himself. With a sigh, he laid back against the windshield of the Camaro, looking up at the night sky. "I don't know about fairies and shit, but you do have one thing." Blue eyes found her as she sat above him, a small smirk finding its way to his features. "An asshole who gives a shit about you."

---☁︎｡⋆｡ Chrissy didn't look up once she finished speaking. She knew how it sounded. It was childish ramblings from a scared girl. Her sneaker dragged through the dirt idly, making small circles and clouds. For some reason the blonde couldn't quite put her finger on, she felt like she was being scolded. It was the long pause as Billy took in everything she had just said. Though, she wasn't used to the silent sort of judgement- Her mother was quite vocal about what she was disappointed in. Biting at her lip, she would have rather he called her childish or something of the sort.

--- She felt Billy's gaze intent and burning holes into the side of her head. Slowly, she turned her head to be met with a steely blue gaze that was returned with her own wide blue eyes. Chrissy slightly leaned forward herself to try and mirror him and definitely falling short. "I know." Her heart squeezed when he said it, but her own response was firm. Because she did know this was the real world. Only in the real world was she exposed to the cruelty from her own mother that she was. Never in the fantasies she often turned to.

--- "I know," she repeated. "It's just how I dealt with things. Fantasies were less cruel than the real world," there was a smile on the blonde's face as she explained in very few words.

positivity for JT? always!!! even though idk a thing about ST and i'm barely active myself here, my dash is never complete without you. your writing has always been spectacular, and you have such a knack for taking characters that have done horrible things and opening them up and peeling back the layers that make them real and complex. it's not an easy thing to do and you do it so naturally. the voices come through so clearly and i am forever on the JT cheer squad, across any fandoms

So I don’t really do the random positivity asks because I just tell you how amazing you are on the regular BUT it’s really nice to see on the dash so I’m here to be part of the solution. You’re amazing. I was totally unprepared when we slid into a thread and dms to start talking for the way we just showed up in matching gear and clicked together. I love our writing, our nights in vc and gaming, our movie nights and dumb plotting and the fact that yeah, it started with Steve and Billy, but it’s gone so far beyond that because we can ship other things, we can love other pairings and it’s not about a fictional ship, it’s about us being friends. I appreciate you immensely for all of that and more.

Oh and your writing is BOMB, have I mentioned that? Holy fuck, totally addicted, you can’t get rid of me. <3

But you write Billy how he his while never condoning his actions. I think that sort of conviction and staying true to the character is so admirable and goes to show how talented you are. You truly have so much skill and ability it wows me. And while being such a skilled writer you remain friendly and kind.
