My film will be screening on Tuesday at 5:50pm in Wegmans Theater! I am excited for people to see it and I learned a lot about myself and my craft while making it! :)
Wow. My final film has been exported and submitted! It feels crazy but nice to have it done and in a place where I feel like it communicates the theme.
Overall I am happy with the final result and I am glad that I put so much time and effort into it. I am very grateful for my awesome friends, classmates, and professors for helping me get across the finish line.
I am excited to show the final cut today in class and see my classmates' awesome work.
I can't believe that the semester is almost over! I have been basically living in the labs for about a week polishing up my film and I am glad that I am at a spot with it that I like! I am pretty much picture locked so tonight and tomorrow I am finishing up my sound mix!
Last week I met with Christine who helped me straighten out a lot of ideas and gave me some good critique and inspiration! I definitely followed those notes and made some major changes. Thank you Christine!
This week, I have been working on a few more passes of my film. I am finally starting to get closer to something that I really like and conveys the message of my film. I also found a nice music piece that I like to use in my film. I have also started adding some diegetic sounds. Based on feedback from the class and Christine, I may export a cut of the film with some inverted colors.
I am going to do some reshoots tomorrow (wednesday april 3) to give myself more to work with!
I started a rough cut! I only have a few shots that I really love so I am excited to get some more shots. I have been playing around with transitions and how I want the film to flow.
Nature day 2, very different color palette than what I am going for but could have potential w/ color correction. They could also potentially be refreshing from all of the blue/purple/gold, so maybe they could be implemented!
The last few weeks I have had multiple shooting days! I shot in Studio A and got a couple shots I liked but I may do reshoots to iron out a few things. I have spent the last few days checking shots off of my wishlist! I have spent time in nature and hunted for some cool spots to get a few shots!
I got some decent shots that are useable, but I definitely want to shoot more. I want to get some underwater shots and more shot variety because I realized I have so much water!
I had some difficulties w/ the equipment: the sensor on the camera was dirty, and I left the tripod plate at my apartment (how silly of me!) so a lot of my shots are shaky.
