I can't blame people for accidentally drawing Alastor as white, considering that he doesn't have any ethnic features to indicate that he's black. Many people have drawn him as white because they couldn't tell he was black. Sure, there are white-passing black people, but this wasn't Vivziepop's intention.

She only made Alastor black because she thought it would justify her inappropriate usage of Voodoo, and nothing more.

Meet Vox!📺

Made my own take on Vox for fun! This one was really fun to do!📺

Wanted to go for a mix of 50s salesman and modern TV show host. He’s a man of show and business afterall!

Made his screen a mix of 50s TV and modern flat-screen . Show even with a his new trends, fads and updates he's still a product of his time📺

Replaced the bowtie with a tie. To parallel with my Alastor more and neckties were the iconic 50s vibe and allude to him being a big businessman.👔👨‍💼

For his color scheme, ngl I always liked Voxs, especially since it has good contrast to Al, @the-burd-lord suggested I'd go with RGB theme, colors on display screen. Ngl I was conflicted what colors to go with for the vees(Primary, Red blue purple etc). But then I realized when u mix those colors u get those other colors and then I decided to give the Vees two main color themes for each. One for show, the other their true colors! I also looked at 50’s colors for inspiration, mixing it with a more modern electric ZAP! ⚡️ also looked at his pilot colors.

Vox advertises with bright electric blue like cyan! In reality, he's a dark sad blue.

Val advertises with passionate and romantic red but really he's a deceitful toxic yellow

Velvet advertises with elegant purple/magenta but known truth an envious and materialistic green.

Wanted his look to parallel Alastors, keep the vibe of dressing like him but also looking like his own brand! Both have Wave symbols as well as symbols relating to their special media, Alastor radio 📻, Vox TV 📺. Power buttons on his suit, TV waves in his tie, like a satellite📡 🛰️ ,

even incorporated his Logo. Love it!!!! Wanted Vox to give off a newer, brighter vibe! Show he’s keeping up with trends more than Al, staying relevant. Like those TV product ADS!!!!!!!!

Added sharper edges! Sharp guy!

Gave him a bigger build. More square shaped square along with his facial features for a robotic feel◼️🤖📺

Went more with his old Shoe design, but made them white with red.also added more stripes like the OG.

Removed the top hat to make his antennae look like a hat itself, along with making the V symbol.

For his time the pinstripe suit Def fits him, removed the long coattails.

Still thinking about what to do with Niffty🐛 and Baxter🐟 but awhile back Viv made a cute sketch on the bug girl and fish boy sharing a 50’s style milkshake together and doing some thinking, I can totally see the potential Chemistry!!!!!💙💛 Literally for Baxters case🧪🧫👨‍🔬⚗️ Sometimes what you need in your afterlife isn't a bad boy, but perhaps a socially awkward and ethically questionable adorkable scientist who won’t be grossed or freaked out but rather embrace your special… quirks!!!!

Meet Baxter🐟🧪

Meet my take on Baxter, an old Vivziepop character shown in the past, at the moment a background character in the show, many believe he could join due to concept art and suppose scrapped episode concepts online. In my take, I’m making him part of the group! Ngl his designs been one of my favs because of the fish motif and color scheme.

I can see my Baxter act as the Hotel’s medical expert. Perhaps the closest so far they have to a medical professional. He dabbles a lot in Biomedical/Chemsitry science in contrast to Pentious who’s more of an inventor. Fun fact, Baxter also died in the 1900’s and his names of English origins so he and Pen could’ve known eachother! Supposedly Bax died via boating incident, drowning.

I can imagine Charlie got him to join, speaking to his scientific interests, making him invested in the hotel as one of his newest and greatest experiments yet. Can a Sinner be redeemed and go to Heaven?

I def want him and Sir P to become science buddies and do all kinds of crazy experiments. I can see him be a mix of Kreiger from Archer , Abed from Community along with some bits of what he’s supposedly like from the wiki. I can see him have a voice like Richard Steven Horvitz(Invader Zim, also does Moxxie in Helluva Boss), Paul Rugg(Freakazoid) or perhaps David Tennants Voice(Dr. Who!) “ Baxter's personality is considered still in development, but Vivziepop likens him to the character Myron Reducto from the show Harvey Birdman in his mannerisms. He is a screechy, neurotic, fidgety, anti-social "gremlin" and an all-round mess. He is introverted and wants nothing to do with anyone, preferring to do science alone in peace”.

His design has always been one of my favourites, especially because of the color scheme, the fish theme and blues are amazing!

Made his eyes dark for a flowy effect and to make them more fish like.

Removed the red ❤️

Added wet marks on his coat aswell as some tatter.

Added webbing for her gloves and feet protection.

Made his hat more like a bowler/derby hat. Was popular 1900’s style.

Added more bioluminescence. Added a gradient affect with the fins.

For my Gang I’m going for a rainbow motif, he represents Blue as he’s a sea creature and the color blue can often symbolize intelligence but also things such as stubbornness and timidity.💙🌈

Gave him more an underbite. I can imagine in his full demon form it becomes bigger with more teeth sticking out and more eery glow!

Added lil nostrils.

Made his hair more fin like!!!!

Fun fact, Only female Anglerfish have the lights. TRANS BAXTER 🏳️‍⚧️ ⚧️ . I can also see him be Intersex and mainly goes by He/him pronouns. here’s Baxter concept art. He’s the guy in blue.

I’ve also done some of the rest of the gang such as Alastor(links for the others in his page) and even other characters such as Mimzy who was also once suppose to be a main character.

Since I'm the #1 advocate of "Heaven should've been held off on until Season 2 at LEAST" and according to Season 2 leaks Emily is going to be a main character, I'll take this time to toss how I would've written Season 2 and Emily into the void for you to enjoy:

At the start of Season 2, Emily is sent down to watch over the hotel and gather info to send back to heaven- the angels are beginning to grow curious and potentially fearful about the hotel and they want to know just WHAT is happening.

Emily shows up at the hotel as an "ambassador" of sorts- saying that if Charlie manages to redeem a sinner, she'll spread the news to Heaven and try to get more hotels opened and start a proper push for redemption in Hell. She's a bit more naive than Charlie due to growing up in Heaven and sometimes she has some trouble shaking her heavenly instincts, but like Charlie she believes in redemption and truly is hopeful for the project.

However as time goes on, not only does she truly bond with Charlie and the hotel's residents, but she begins to see how totalitarian Hell's punishment is- sinners who had committed the most minor sins or were sent to Hell for something someone else did beginning to flood the hotel. Over the season she begins to grow more and more suspicious of Heaven, with it culminating in her and Charlie striking back against Adam and the system at the end of the season.

Can I be completely honest? I honestly hate huskerdust. No diss to the people who do ship it but God it is the part that solidified that episode four is the worst for me - and yes, that includes all the SA scenes.

Like, what does Husk see in angel and vise versa? Husk has been sexually harassed by Angel, and once Husk finds out that Angel is purposefully getting himself roofied and later raped and when angel tells him that he feels that he as to do this so Val won't use him anymore, Husk ends up singing a victim blamey song. I understand the deeper message but Jesus, do not sing this to an SA victim after they told you everything, ffs! That will make them feel even worse! Like, Viv you immediately turned me away from not only HuskerDust, but also the rest of the fucking series like holy shit.

Yeah, HuskerDust had merit before the show actually came out. But Jesus did it take a complete nose dive as the series went on. Completely ruined what could have been a great ship but now I can't even bother with it.

Actually yeah! For my Niffty I’m going for that route!🐛

HUGE Spoiler alert!!!! Hazbin Hotel @the-burd-lord made these concept designs for me as a gift, I treasure them greatly💖 Their designs inspired from Centichoro from One Punch Man. The other character in the drawings is my take on Alastor!🦌📻

With the reveal of Husk being once an Overlord I like to believe the same with Niffty but rather than gained her power from souls(talked about this with @a-sterling-rose, she was an immensely powerful sinner like Alastor, but alas her form was far too big and scary for people to want to get close to and she was all alone…until Alastor came along and offered her a deal he’d provide a more approachable form in return for her eternal service).

One idea. I imagine she was once a regular sinner like everyone else but was still a centipede like demon so it wasn’t easy to gain peoples trust due to her scary appearance. But one day some overlord or jsut really strong demon or hellborn tried to attack her and in defense or just acting on first instinct…ate into them and ended up becoming stronger and scarier looking in the process, driving even more people to see her as a threat and try to attack only to well…think the Hungry Catepillar but more gruesome and scary.

I can imagine she used to live in the outskirts of the pentagram or underground somewhere as Centipedes can burrow. Occasionally some try to get close to gain power or try to kill her but failed. She was very lonely💔💔💔 Warning scary images.

A lot of her looks meant to be hiding what she is. Disguising her extra limbs as hair, her body’s color scheme based on a centipedes, poofy dress that could cover extra, even the bug design could be Interpreted as a long centipede. I was also going for a subtle sharp, mini legs for her apron ruffles, giving off her trying to look sweet and soft but could also be interpreted in another way…

I read and learned from a @lovesart23 redesign vid for her that, she was meant to be based on B-Alien Movies. LOVE that and I tried it myself(hardest part was figuring out what bug to make her and what themes to go with) but I ended up going for another Sci-Fi route. Kaiju/Giant Bug monsters. Creatures like Godzilla or those giant bugs creatures like “the Tingler” 1959(which was a centipede monster I read). I figure it’d connect well to both her struggles of fitting in but also her Japanese Roots.

There’s even a Yokai/demon based on the centipede known as the Ōkumade! I imagine Niffty’s true form is basically a giant monstrous looking centipede.

funniest thing about hazbin the television show is that the whole driving motivation of the protagonist is preventing exterminations except she's also literally the only one who cares about them. they kill thousands at random every year, you'd THINK that a place full of selfish motherfuckers in that position would jump at the opportunity to try and save their skin, but they don't care. it was an issue with the pilot but it's even funnier in the show. they announce that the next extermination is in 6 months and everyone's just like damn that sucks. they had to suddenly make it later so that adam is targeting the hotel specifically because otherwise it literally doesn't matter

Angel Dust Re-redesign🕷️🕸️

Made a re-redesign of my redesign of Angel Dust. The left ones my new one, the right one the old one.

The main reason I wanted to re-redesign my Angel Dust was because I felt like It could’ve been more “former mafioso” and androgynous coded. For my Angel I’m going for a journey of self expression, finding a happy medium after being pushed to be in one thing his whole life and afterlife. First by his family to be more masculine , then Val pushing him to be more feminine before finally meeting people like Charlie, Husk and the rest of the Hotel that encourage him to just be himself💜

Changed the blazer to a shirt in a tie knot. I can def see him get a blazer overtime thanks to loving Charlie’s so much.

Changed the eyes to both being black for a spider vibe and wanted the pupils to look big for the spider coding plus when often doing drugs, a common side effect is dilated pupils. Subtle hint to how he died…💊💉

Added the webbing unto the collar and corset top instead.

Changed his thorax, fur patterns and colors a bit.

Went for one set of long gloves and one pair of short gloves. They were actually fairly popular in the 40’s(when he died).

Did some research and there’s a lot of jumping spiders. For Angel I decided to make him a bold jumping spider. @a-sterling-rose shared a cool idea that an overlord can change their contracted souls appearence to fit their tastes and Val recoloured Angel into white and pink, aswell as made his stripes heart shaped. Here are some pics of what bold jumping spiders look like.
