Chapter 28 - Who are you again, dear?

Violet had just returned from Tartosa beach when she heard a violent crash from the vacant unit at number 4 Crumplebottom Villas. She rushed in to find her great aunt Agnes prone on the floor, with the reaper standing over her! Still brimming with confidence after winning the Panda Club sandcastle building contest, she showed no fear and demanded that the reaper spare Agnes’ life.

Agnes was spared by Grim, but when she awoke, she could no longer remember where she was or who Violet was!

Chapter 27 - Oh no!!! Not Grim Again?!?

Violet and the rest of Panda Club spent their Sunday playing at Tartosa beach.

While Violet was out, Agnes tried to tick off some of the many jobs on her list. She was still trying to be good in desperate penance as she believed the disappearance of Toby and Tate was her fault after her taunting of Nanny Susan. She hadn’t seen Erik’s angry ghost again, so she was beginning to think she had appeased his spirit.

She did her homework for knitting 101.

Then she continued the DIY project getting number 5 Crumplebottom Villas ready to rent.

She was just upgrading the Murphy bed, when she felt a strange twinge!

The bed suddenly trapped her and crushed her to the floor! Was it Tristan’s voodoo or her karma catching up with her for hurting Nanny Susan?

Who knows! But what we do know is that our heroine is no more!!!

Chapter 27 - Mount Komorebi

The Panda Club kids were so excited! They were on their way for a long weekend to stay with Namani Ito’s family in Mount Komorebi!

They had a fantastic time sledging, hiking and exploring the local parks.

There were a few other familiar faces in Mount Komorebi that weekend… Jacques Villareal and his reluctant apprentice Tristan Black were there too, on a business trip. Jacques had been calling Tristan incessantly, but, thinking that it was because he knew about his betrayal, Tristan hadn’t answered… until his desperate craving for grilled cheese made him recklessly press accept call. He may be risking his death, but maybe he could persuade Jacques to deal him one last grilled cheese sandwich before he ended him. It turned out however, that Villareal wanted Black to accompany him to secure a new illegal cheese trade. While in Komorebi, Black was certain Villareal was going to kill him.

Was he going to throw him into the fire?

Was he going to sabotage his skis?

Was he going to stage a vending machine tragedy?

Was he going to drown him at the bathhouse?

It seemed not, although Jacques did terrorise both Tristan and their new business associate by skinny-dipping.

Tristan went back to the holiday let to recover from his shock (by eating some more grilled cheese) but then he received a frantic phone call from Jacques summoning him to The Komorebi rock face…

He arrived to meet him at the cliff, but he arrived just in time to see his boss come sailing back down and bump at the bottom. Jacques was dead.

He looked upwards and caught a glimpse of Dolores, giving a very creepy wave before she vanished.

Tristan was shocked, relieved and frightened all at once… but hey, at least he got to talk about grilled cheese with the reaper…

Chapter 26 - Things get a little strange…

Trina returned to Strangerville after her work shift that evening in order to ask a few more questions. She was pretty sure Nanny Susan and the children weren’t here, but she was going to leave no stone unturned in her search for them!

The strange locals directed Trina to an old, disused science lab in the middle of a crater. The place seemed abandoned, so she took a look around…

Meanwhile, back in Willow Creek, Tristan Black was facing his first night since Agnes evicted him. He had no money, nowhere to stay and his withdrawal from grilled cheese was hitting him hard. His boss Jacques Villareal kept repeatedly calling him, making him fear that he was out to get him as he knew about his betrayal. He settled down onto a park bench to spend his first night rough sleeping… while drifting off to sleep he cursed his rotten ex-landlady Agnes. All this was her fault…

The next day, however, while dumpster diving for some breakfast, he found a voodoo doll. Without stopping for thought, he bound the doll to Agnes!

Chapter 25 - Ice and Fire

Trina and Teddy still had no idea where Nanny Susan took their babies!

At work, Teddy developed a freeze ray that he planned to use on Nanny Susan when he found her. Of course he just had to test it on his co-worker Eliza as she is well… just annoying…

Trina decided to follow Mortimer’s tip off and investigated in Strangerville. There was no sign of Nanny Susan or the boys, but wow was it unusual here! Trina decided she would return when time allowed and investigate further.

In Sim Jail, Leon was finding life on the inside tough indeed. His new cell mate was a strange man, who kept complimenting him on his neck, then attacking him! Leon was left terrified and drained.

He was very surprised one day when the warden announced that he had a visitor. He found he was so relieved to see Agatha Crumplebottom’s reassuring face. She promised she knew of his innocence and that she would help him to clear his name!

In that instant, Leon fell head over heels in love… 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

But will Agatha be able to free Leon before the evil Vlad turns him? Will their love truly conquer all? Stay turned to find out!

Chapter 24 - Watch Your Back, Black Part 2

Trina explained to Mortimer Goth about her twins’ disappearance and the murder of Don Lothario. Mortimer was shocked and recommended that Trina try searching in Strangerville - he hadn’t seen any Bots, but there were definitely some strange goings on there…

Tristan was desperate for money: the loss of the steady income from the art gallery, the loss of his brother Leon’s contributions to the household finances and his terrible and costly addiction to grilled cheese had made an awful dent on his wallet. He decided that now was the time to act on the secrets Dolores had told him. He made his way to the Bluffs in the dead of night.

It certainly wasn’t easy to fit though the tunnel with all the weight he had put on from the grilled cheese. His knees were knocking and his hands shaking as he lifted his shovel in order to dig for his boss, Jacques Villareal’s, hidden loot. However, as soon as his spade touched the earth, his phone began to ring. It was Jacques!

He ran back home as fast as his legs could carry him, certain that Jacques knew about his betrayal.

The next day, he awoke desperate to secure some funds so he could flee from his boss. He decided to break into the other apartments in Crumplebottom Villas to see what he could steal.

However, once he reached number 1, he was in for a nasty surprise as he was caught by his landlady Agnes! She whacked him with her handbag and served Tristan his eviction notice!

Chapter 23 - Watch Your Back, Black!

The Bettermans brought their new baby Poppy back home to Crumplebottom Villas. Their apartment was now rather crowded, but their home was full of love and laughter.

Trina tried to be happy at the birth of her friend and neighbour’s daughter, but she couldn’t manage it. Seeing them happy just made her feel rage that her babies were still missing.

She decided to take her anger out on the Blacks, shopping them to the fraud squad for their illegal dealings at their art gallery, using the evidence that Agnes had provided her with to get them sent down for a long time. Trina made her way to the gallery to arrest them both, but Tristan skipped out the back way, safe in the knowledge that his name wasn’t actually on any of the records. He didn’t know however that one Sim saw him… a Sim in a brightly coloured dress, who had a bit of a crush on Leon…

Leon meanwhile had no clue what was about to hit him…

After his arrest, he was taken to Sim Jail to await his trial. He did receive a visit from his twin brother Tristan, who was unrepentant.

Tristan: Well Lee, someone's gotta take the rap… and that someone was never going to be me…

Leon was devasted by his twin's betrayal and vowed his revenge….

Chapter 22 - Turning Over A New Leaf

Agnes continued to make good on her pledge to change: that Tuesday she set about volunteering and donated money, as well as visiting her newest relatives, babies Christopher and Mimi Goth (yes, the Goths had been busy) with a huge teddy bear. Agnes was clearly on her best behaviour, as she didn’t even warn Mortimer about the dangers of canoodling further or make a sarcastic comment about their very ugly new dog.

She even bought her great niece Violet a violin on her way home… although something tells me she might regret that…

Tristan was deep in the grip of his addiction. Leon became worried when all Tristan would talk about was grilled cheese, and he ate 10 grilled cheese sandwiches in a row… and he began to put on a serious amount of weight…

When Agnes was helping Trina put up wanted posters for Nanny Susan that evening, the pair discussed their strange neighbours the Blacks. Trina revealed her deep hatred and distrust of Leon. She asked Agnes if she thought the Blacks could have been involved in Toby and Tate’s disappearance.

Agnes looked from side to side to ensure no one could overhear, then she divulged to Trina all she knew about the Black’s illegal business activities, and handed over to her the bulging dossier of evidence she had gathered…

Decades- Time skip

Welcome to 1899

Teresa is 17, Lilliana is 13, Theo is 6, The twins are 5, and Franklin, Lilliana's puppy, is all grown up!

Teresa is still in a secret relationship with her childhood friend Elliot, but problems will arise as her debutante coming out ball is on the horizon.

Lilliana has developed a strong passion for reading and taking care of stray animals, as well as her dog. She is a good student, a good sister and all around a good person, but she will soon discover something about herself that may jeopardize her life, and her relationship with her family.

Theodore has become closer to his siblings, finally being accepted by Teresa, but has grown up troubled due to the neglect in his childhood. He misbehaves in school, makes a muck around the house, and generally causes issues for his family.

The twins are about to start school, and are proving to be polar opposites. Ellie is shy and reserved, she quietly paints in a corner or sits with her dolls whilst watching her sister cause havoc with their older brother.

And Franklin is just generally a very good boy

Chapter 21 - Say Cheese!

Tristan was extremely nervous heading back to work after Dolores’ disappearance. What if Jacques was behind it? What if it was all just a set up to test his loyalty? After work, Jacques invited him back to name of house to celebrate Hugo and Luna’s birthday.

Tristan knew something was wrong, and tried to make his excuses to leave… but then Jacques presented him with a huge platter of grilled cheese… it was the most delicious thing Tristan had ever tasted. How could such flavour be achieved with just bread and cheese? He finished the whole plate, and felt his priorities changing…

Down at the Willow Creek Police Station, Trina was working overtime, investigating the evidence from Don Lothario’s murder. The other detectives had ruled it inconclusive, but Trina knew exactly why there was no DNA evidence… it was the bot!

The next day, Agnes accompanied Trina to the Foxbury campus to ask the advice of the Bot Savants. They promised to keep their ears to the ground about a rogue bot, and pledged their technical support if she was found. Agnes decided to enroll for a degree in physics and robotics, with a side order of knitting classes, so she would know exactly how to deactivate Nanny Susan if she could be found, and could help Trina and get those boys back where they belonged. After all, she needed to keep her mind busy, and they offered generous scholarships for very mature students!

Chapter 20 - Consequences

Agnes was distraught when she heard about the disappearance of her beloved Toby and Tate. Surely this was what Erik’s ghost was warning her about? That her spiteful and vengeful attitude would have serious consequences? She vowed to change her ways and make things right…

The first thing she did was try to mend some rifts, starting with Sylvia Betterman. She offered to babysit Bennie, Buttercup and Lila, so that Sylvia could head to Foxbury Commmons to get a head start on her assignment. To Agnes’ huge surprise, she enjoyed playing with the Betterman kids, and she was a natural at the role of a grumpy and viscous sea-monster!

Sylvia was beginning to suffer from morning sickness. With all of her pregnancies, she found the early stages the toughest. But she knew she needed to get ahead on her degree work, or she would never graduate!

Meanwhile, on the day that would have been Toby and Tate’s toddler birthday, Trina’s first case as a detective was to investigate a murder. The deceased was Don Lothario, and the cause of his murder was clear - a half eaten dish of Pufferfish Nigri was on the kitchen counter.

The name of the deceased seemed familiar to Trina… wasn’t Don the man Nanny Susan had been obsessed with before her disappearance? Could his murder and the disappearance of her twins be related? She bagged all the evidence and headed back to the lab to investigate…
