a lot of people are dismissing the "violent" rap music rushing and scrambling to say well not ALL rap is violent here's some rappers who don't rap about violence but like. idk. I think the "violent" rap is important to listen to as well. do you know why gangs exist? do you know why Compton is the way that it is? can you listen to the experiences of black men when you can't personally relate on any level? or will you dismiss an entire genre of music because certain sub genres make you feel a bit uncomfortable as a non-black person?

FULL ALERT MY DAD NEEDS HELP

Hi everyone! I'm starting this fundraiser to help me get to Anchorage, Alaska this summer. I was a part of a reduction in force at the corporation I worked at the last 4 years. I have nothing but good things to say about the company, It's just one of those things that happen in today's corporate world.

Instead of applying for unemployment and dealing with the drudgery to find a similar position, I have decided to retire at age 64 1/2. The job market is not helpful for someone near retirement age I had planned to retire the end of 2025. Instead, I must now move out of my Houston apartment and go live with my adult child in Wasilla AK.

With that in mind, I have saved just enough for this journey but really need to have more of a cushion as I will be driving the 4444 miles in late May. My route includes the famous Alaska Highway (AlCan) through British Columbia and Yukon Territory. I am packing up a 2006 van that I've taken good care of but as you know, things happen along the way. Just like the situation I'm currently facing.

I will be documenting my journey on Facebook as the Houston to Houston rally as it will end in the village of Houston AK, about 45 miles north of Anchorage.

If you can help this old man take this final road trip to be with his family, you are definitely an angel. My kid is native Inupiaq and a nurse. Quayanaq!
