Well, what’s interesting about playing Barbara’s sexuality is it’s not just about a physical sexuality which is also so often portrayed, and therefore limits what sexuality is really about. Her sexuality also lay in the fact that she had a brilliant mind. She seduced with her mind. She understood what made people tick. She understood how to turn a man on. How to keep him there. How to keep him loyal to her. And it’s this complexity that Barbara really really explores.
