idk how the hell i’ve run a blog called ‘botanyshitposts’ for almost four years now without ever thinking to talk about this but in high school my little brother wanted a pet that wouldnt die so we got him a moss ball for $8 at a pet store and he named it tiki and it lives in this dedicated plastic tank at our parents’ house even though we’re both at college now. usually it doesnt do anything but over the past two weeks of winter break our family has watched in horror as it has gone about the process of slowly and ominously rising from its usual position at the depths of its abode to the top, where it now floats with gravel bits stuck to it from literal years of not moving. my mom has moved it to behind the sink so now whenever i go to wash my hands in the kitchen i have to face it and im scared

It’s always kind of funny when the Powerpuff Girls, in fanart, are drawn with fingers and noses and toes and stuff and it’s like…they legit don’t have those in canon. It’s not just a style choice, they actually don’t have fingers and noses.

I mean, apparently Buttercup just sticks her hand to things to pick them up (S03E29 Criss Cross Crisis)

And in Oops, I Did it Again (s06E04B) the girls, when made without Chemical X, come out “normal” and do have fingers, feet, noses, and normal faces.

So like…when everyone in the show calls them “bug-eyed freaks,” “pumpkin heads,” etc, they legit mean the girls have big round heads, giant eyeballs, and stump limbs.

I think it’s safe to say that the Powerpuff Girls are objectively horrifying. I want to see fanart of that.

here’s the thing, when I first realized I was trans like 4 yrs ago, truscum would tell me I wasn’t rlly bc I didn’t have much dysphoria (or at least I thought I didn’t)

I knew I was uncomfortable w being a girl and I knew I was uncomfortable w my body, it’s just that in the beginning I didn’t rlly connect those. Especially since Im chubby and I thought my dislike of my body was dysmorphia. But after I started liking my weight I realized that I hated my hips and breasts and soft face

After my friends started calling me he/him more often I realized just how completely horrible being called she/her was. It still makes me almost nauseous every time someone misgenders me

It felt similar to recently when I graduated high school, when I was in school I just saw it as a general annoyance, but once I was out and was thinking back on it I realized just how fucked up and miserable it made me

Point is, all that took abt a year. It took me a year after I knew I was trans to realize what I was feeling all along was dysphoria.

Also, anytime dysphoria is portrayed in media, it’s portrayed as constantly agonizing and painfully present at all times. nd for some ppl it is like that, but foe some it’s no where close to that, making them think they don’t have dysphoria at all

Yes - ppl do need dysphoria to be trans. But stop bullying young trans ppl or ppl who have just recently realized who they are
