"You're looking for Christmas decorations at the nearby abandoned mall, so excited to have your first Christmas in your own house. You'll need a lot more ornaments and décor than what you currently scrounged up. But, being the klutz that you are, you end up knocking over quite a bit of stands and displays, making a giant ruckus! Good thing the other person also looking for stuff in the mall seems more concerned for you than for the mess you've made."

It's miraculous how Carsyn managed to gain a break day from the disaster atmosphere at AAHW. It was rare to get a break day, and they were going to spend it...

Frantically looking for holiday decor...

Listen, you can't blame them. They've only just recently got their own house after weeks of searching for a livable abode. It's a blessing how they found one that was only recently abandoned (hopefully the old owners weren't eaten...).

So, well, with a new home, Carsyn has to decorate it for the proper holiday! And Christmas was right around the corner, so why not?

Jumping over broken pots containing overgrowing plants, they tried to figure out the layout of the store- and hoped to find a storage area where they kept their seasonal decor.

With enough time, they managed to find an "employees-only" door, excitedly entering.

Down a hallway...

Yes! This was the area! Carsyn laughed with relief, looking at the seasonal and holiday decorations that were packed away for restocking.

Thank Gods.

They immediately headed over to the winter/Christmas section, and began grabbing the lights and ornaments.

...And in all their excitement, accidentally tripped over a raised crack, making Carsyn slam into and tip over a seven-foot-tall box holding a fake Christmass tree.

They yelped in fear as the box toppled, and landed on a bunch of ornaments, making a giant crashing noise loud enough to wake the dead.

Their heart hammering in fear, they scrambled away from the newly-created mess.

Glass and plastic were now scattered everywhere, and the potential decorations... all lost...

They didn't even notice someone else had entered the room because they heard the noise.

"Heyo, you okay?" Carsyn nearly had a heart attack from the surprise of another presence.

They couldn't form words, still stunned by the mess they made.

"Yo? You good?"

Their eyes trailed over to a man holding a concerned expression, holding a cigarette. He had a visor adorning his head along with some nifty headphones, and a cocky air floated about him.

"S... sorry, I- I... uh..."

"Timid type, eh? Pshh, don't worry about it, the stuff isn't mine, so I'm not mad. Thought a bear was down here going wild, wanted to see if I could wrestle it, yanno? So I came to check." He shrugged, placing his cig back in his mouth and pulling for a good second, before taking it out again.

"'M Deimos, by the way. Nice to meetcha."

Carsyn blinked, "Carsyn... Also, you mean... the Deimos working with Hank J. Wimbleton?"

His eyebrow raised. "What's it to ya? You huntin' us?"

They stammered, "I'm j-just a scientist for AAHW! I- I'm not going to hurt you, I don't even have a weapon, I was just-"

A laugh cut their desperate explanation off, "Nah, I'm just foolin' with ya, toots! You don't look the type to hurt anyone. Not even a fly, no offense."

They shook their head, shakily standing up from off the ground, "None taken..."

"Sooo," He stepped meticulously over the shattered ornaments as he spoke, "A holiday typa person? Can't imagine how hard it is to find decor, especially with your luck- from what I can assume by looking at this hot mess."

Carsyn's eyebrows furrowed, "Rude!"

Deimos chuckled in response, winking at them with his next words; "Whatcha gonna do, shoot me?"

They ignored that comment, simply turning to the debris and their salvaged decor.

"Um, could you... Could you help me with this? I'm not much of a heavy lifter..." their hand wandered up to their hair to scratch it awkwardly.

"Don't sound so disgraced about it, man! As long as you don't suplex me, I'm fine with helping. Looks like you'd have an aneurysm by just attempting to lift all that hullabaloo up."

That earned him a tiny laugh from Carsyn, making him smile eagerly.

"Y'know, Carsyn, you should laugh more. Makes the world a little brighter, hearing laughter from a kind soul like yours."

They smiled at that. "Thank you, Deimos."

"Anytime, Carsyn."

a few years ago i read warrior cats ALL THE TIME and one character name Gray Wing was my favorite, so i made gray wing my url for almost everything. people would call me gray as an online name because of it. i like making videos and short films so i came up with gray films and stuff for my yt name and it stuck

savory foods like pizza or burgers being cooked in the next room, but if we're talking soap and bathroom scents then i like citrus and fruity scents heheh

300 Follower Art Contest

Woohoo!! We made it!

Thank you to all who have supported this blog by liking, reblogging, and requesting :) y’all rock and I am so glad to be here writing for ya!!!

So for the art contest, this is what I decided:

You must draw your/a favorite scene from one of my x reader fics (can be headcanons as well). It can be lineart or colored. Up to 3 submissions per person please! If this is something that doesn’t interest you or you can’t find smth that sparks inspiration, draw whatever you want (MUST be madness combat related!!!).

First place will receive a short x reader story with whichever character they want (madness combat OR another fandom as long as we discuss it!!).

Second place will receive s/o headcanons (with any 2 madcom characters they want OR 1 character from a different fandom).

Third place will receive a fun little doodle page of their madcom oc with their favorite madcom character.

Everyone else will get to enjoy me liveblogging the Madness Combat Dating Simulator bc it seemed like such a fun opportunity to pass up 😂

The contest will begin now and will end Aug 31st at 10 PM. Winners will be announced the next day. Once the art contest is over, I’ll do the liveblog/livestream of the dating sim.

Once again, thank you sooooo so much for all your kind words and support! 🙏😭 this has been so much fun, I hope to continue to write for y’all!
