i love how bodies bodies bodies is what happens when everyone thinks they're the protagonist final girl of a horror movie. their genre awareness is literally what killed them. if they didn't immediately assume they were in a horror movie, they wouldn't have been in one.

I immediately knew that The First Omen was directed by a woman. What an amazing film!!! I haven't seen Immaculate, but from what friends have told me The First Omen is everything that Immaculate was trying to be. The sexual assault scenes were filmed in a way that was not sexualized, but pure horror. No titty shots of unnecessary moaning and writhing. I feel like even if I were a man the terror would be evident and felt totally and the main woman staying as compassionate as she was shown the whole time even in the face of what she knew was great evil was pretty profound. The score was phenomenal and just so atmospheric and very scary at times just with the pacing and putting the puzzle together. One of the best movies I've seen in theaters for a while!
