Prongsfoot is the couple that leaves an impression on others. Some wonder how they can stand such intensity in a relationship, some are afraid.
The way they recall every detail of the other, making inside jokes that date back to literally their first week of being friends. Sirius and James mind so filled with the person they love most. People wonder how they don't get tired of it. It's impossible for prongsfoot though.
Life is boring the moment the other leaves the room.
Though it doesn't mean they are *always* together. It's just that in their minds and hearts, the other is always present at the forefront.
They are eternal love, they are passionate love, they are quiet love when they let themselves feel the hurt they pretend not to feel in the public eye but do so in front of the other. They are the kind of love that is so subconscious, one will bring out the right pair of shoes the other hasn't even decided to wear yet but they got it right on the mark.
One soul in two separate bodies.

Can I ask what your Sirius Black Sex headcannons would be? I read your Snape and Lupin ones, and they were written SO well!
Oh my god I wrote a whole thing out and I was proud of it and then the draft vanished Sirius Black is hard for me (heh) because he doesn't live in my skull, he just visits from time to time. He's a dear, always brings a gift... Sometimes he does the dishes.
...That's exactly who he is: A dear. Thoughtful, kind, sweet... far more genuinely than Remus, who tries hard to please others. Sirius only does what he wants to do. He isn't a doormat, he isn't proving himself, he isn't trying to impress - he just exists as he is. That's all he has ever had to do. He's always been 'good enough' for the people he cares about - and the people he doesn't care about he ignores. His heart is an open book. He expresses his true emotions brazenly. He faces all issues head-on. You always now what you're getting into with Sirius Black, because he will make it clear. (In comparison: -- Remus Lupin lies. He wears mask after mask to hide how he feels. He avoids dealing with altercations - even if it means letting things he thinks are wrong happen. -- Severus Snape is naturally much like Sirius - but it has been crushed. He has closed his book and holds it close to his chest. He has learned to hide the emotions he doesn't want to display under masks. He still faces issues head-on, but he has learned the value of sometimes waiting and watching to make the best move.) So he is genuine. He is honest. He can be as serious as he is playful. He is wise, too - he has experienced true suffering just as he has experienced true connection. He fights on behalf of other people, even at severe cost to himself - and he doesn't back down. Mix that in with being tall, handsome, a little dark but incredibly sweet - and all the manners of being raised in a Pure-blood household, with none of the pointless formality... People often think he is more flirtatious than he actually is. He isn't flirting when he sits down and listens to your troubles, holds your hand and sympathizes, looks you in the eye and lists the good qualities he sees in you - despite only knowing you a short while. That's just who he is. He is the sort of man people emulate when they are trying to impress others. He suffers for that, as people think he is being fake and manipulative. He is 'too perfect' for his own good lol
He charms people by being himself, they lust after him... and when they realize he 'didn't mean it' they get insecure and blame him. ...Romantic/sexual relationships are such a hassle... It's difficult to actually connect to someone when you're known for being a 'heartbreaker'. It's hard to feel confident in yourself in that way, when people assume you have mountains of experience you don't actually have. He isn't typically an insecure man at all, but... How does he express interest without it seeming fake when his natural honesty feels fake to others? He has always been 'good enough' at everything - and yet at 35 his experience in this one area is still in its adolescent infancy. How do you portray sincerity when you're always sincere? He's semi-sworn off the whole idea. It's not something he seeks out. Sexuality wasn't something he missed much in Azkaban. He missed genuine connection more - he values friendship above all else. A dementor at his door at all times - he didn't have strength to dream of anything as grand as touch... he was too busy dreaming of basic comfort. (The desire for intimacy/romance with someone is perhaps the only thing he would mask and hide. He has more important things to do, after all... no need to complicate things with heartbreak. But he isn't good at masking things. It eats at his soul.) If he were to engage with someone they would already be close, already special, already understand him. I'm not sure if he even CAN feel attraction to someone he isn't already loyal friends with. What does this mean for intimacy with him...?
He agonizes over 'doing it right' when he confesses desire. He isn't usually like that, he has never worried about studying for tests or impressing people - but he NEEDS to get his point across when it comes to this. He doesn't shy away from extravagant displays of love- he thinks they are fun. 100 bouquets on Valentines day? Hilarious to give OR to receive. But a confession? That's not fun. It's serious. He doesn't know any other way to emphasize his earnestness, to PROVE he is sincere, other than to go BIG. He will back out last minute if 'the vibe isn't right'. (It's not lost on him that extreme actions might have the opposite effect, and it's probably best to just take them aside and speak heart-to-heart... but it is hard to trust that will be enough when he is always speaking to people heart-to-heart.)
He is touch-starved. Once he is allowed to touch someone he is clingy. His hands are ALWAYS somewhere - preferably on skin. Holding hands, resting atop your shoulder, on the small of your back, wrapped around your waist, holding your hip with his fingers gently feeling inside your shirt or in the top of your pants... It doesn't matter how many seats are free on the sofa, he is leaning against you, putting his arm around your shoulders or seating you on his lap, or sitting on YOUR lap. He looks like he is being overly protective, and maybe he is a little - but he values touch. Even as a dog. He will lay down and snooze while his tail wags softly against your leg - or flop his head on your thigh and beg for pats...
...That leads to intimacy just being a part of daily life. He doesn't differentiate much between cuddling on the couch and having sex on the couch. To him, sex is less of its own special activity and more of an extension to other activities. That takes the pressure off of him to perform, too. He knows he is inexperienced - and there's no expectations if its just a cuddle that happens to include his dick or ass. He is a switch.
But he DOES perform. He does everything he can to make sure you are satisfied even if it means his own satisfaction is neglected. If he finishes too fast because he struggles to hold on: He will keep going until he is physically unable, then switch to his hands or mouth to try and finish the job. If he struggles to finish because he is too used to his own hand or its just something he struggles with in general, depression and PTSD is a bitch: He doesn't even care. He will stop when his partner has had enough. He is emotionally satisfied by their satisfaction. Blue balls don't bother him anymore, not after everything he has gone through.
...Though he will never turn down being pleased, if its offered. It's just not a priority. But there is something special about having a mouth on his cock. Something about being able to look into someones eyes while they warm him and show him affection. (You'd think a 69 would be perfect, and he does like it - but if he is giving pleasure he wants to be able to focus on it fully. He prefers the focus simple oral allows. Also he is tall, and unless his partner is also tall this can lead to problems.)
He is so good with his hands. He becomes good at everything, because he is dedicated to learning - a good kisser, good at oral, good at fucking - good at being fucked... Every encounter is a chance for him to practice. But his hands... he doesn't just touch, he feels. Holding hands is an intimate experience because he enjoys it so immensely. He savors every texture, every bump and blemish a precious treasure. Just feeling along your body is enough to make his breath shudder. No matter what else he is doing, sexual or not, his hands are feeling and stroking and gripping and enjoying. He is very familiar with them, having spent 12 years staring at them. After only being able to perform magic with his fingers rather than a wand. After only having himself to hold and pretend someone was here to comfort him.
He gets off to enthusiastic consent. He might push the envelope sometimes 'come on, Darling... you can take a bit more for me...' but the moment he feels like his partner is uncomfortable he doesn't get a dominating power kick - he gets concerned. It would take him a long time to warm up to anything that includes discomfort, even intentional discomfort.
He cant stand wishy-washy shyness. Someone being meek, who needs him to do everything, unsure about things... (He couldn't stand Remus. Even if he understands why Remus acts this way - it squicks him out.) ...He doesn't want to feel like he is taking. He wants to give.
The biggest betrayal in his mind is to be lied to. He cannot understand why so many others aren't as open and honest as he is. "Why didn't you tell me you didn't like that? Why did you pretend you did?! 'So I wouldn't feel bad'?? well I feel WORSE now!!!' Putting on a fake smile is the biggest insult he can imagine. He is being honest every single day of his life - and his partner is hiding their thoughts and feelings from him?! He is very patient and accepting. It doesn't matter the kink, fetish, desire, exploration, secret or issue - if his partner is open with him about it he is happy to try. He is happy to talk it out.
He is Poly. It's rare for him to like someone, and he is too loyal to ever cheat - but he is open enough with his feelings that if he DOES happen to like someone else he will say so. Having two or more people to cuddle with? At the same time OR separately? He literally can't think of anything better. That goes the other way, too - if his partner likes someone else he is the first to jump in and suggest they go for it. Champion Wingman. Even if he isn't a part of that second relationship. As long as he is loved and understood - he wants his partner to be happy. ...This doesn't help his image of being a flirtatious playboy. But anyone who thinks that doesn't matter as much to him as his partners, or his partners' partners.
He hates being bored. Being bored brings up memories. Being cold brings up memories. Being alone brings up memories. It can be difficult, locked in a big empty cold lonely house where every wall seems to hate him... He'd rather have sex than be bored. It's better than booze - though drunk sex sounds like an adventure! Since sex is an extension of other activities for him - he inserts it everywhere he can when things get quiet. It's entertaining AND fuels his desire for touch. He loves a good quickie. Leaving a meeting to use the bathroom...? He's right behind you to push you up against a wall, just because it seemed like a fun idea to sneak around.
Is this accurate...? It's how I see him, at least. Sirius Black genius' are welcome to confirm/correct/deny/expand.

It baffles me that many people Hate Ron. Idk where you guys are coming from? I don’t see this much hate to a character who willingly sacrifices himself for his friends be made a bad guy in any other books (franchise, movies, etc.) And people love the bully, the weak willed, coward ferret. And in the stories they make, they turn Draco into a rich Ron.
Is this hate coming because the guy is poor? Because he got the girl? Idk. Please enlighten me. Why people want the person who wished a character death be with him. While every sacrifice Ron has made has been criticised. I saw a post where it said Ron impersued Hermione… what kind of stupid nonsense is that? And that Weasley’s wanted harry because of his fame and money. I’ve read HP, I’ve never seen them asking Harry for money in any way, what are y’all reading?

Here's to the people who weren't abused by their parents, but whose parents sucked anyways. Here's to people whose parents fucked up raising you out of ignorance and not malice. Here's to the kids whose parents didn't know what to do with you so they did nothing at all. Here's to people whose parents are getting better and growing as people but still hurt you. Here's to every mean comment that wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't come from your mom; here's to awkward family dinners because you're all trying to forget;
here's to you, survivor of a thousand 'not as bad as it could have been' hurts. I see you. You aren't alone.

Sirius, Peter and Remus
Though I dislike Wolfstar to an absolute unhealthy degree, I will admit that I can see two man who feel like total losers for being absolutely nothing in their thirties, one due to circumstances and other due to his woe is me attitude, finding solace in each other's arms on purely physical way. I can actually see a benifit arrangements happening.
But nothing emotional. Because they can never trust each other. Remus because after so many years thinking and believing that Sirius is a responsible for all things gone wrong, his subconscious works that way now. And Sirius because however much a good person you are, at the end of the day he will always be a little resentful at being the one who suffered so much for no reason at all.
But what I absolutely can't stand is -
Gaslight campaign to make us believe that Sirius was lusting/crushing over Lupin since their teenage days
That Sirius chased Lupin while the other played hard to get.
That Sirius wore Remus down and that they actually dated post Hogwarts.
Because all this takes away Sirius's core personality in itself. I will explain it ----
We see him being a passive aggressive friend with Peter. Although I never propagate the idea that Peter was stupid idiot because a person who played so many people like fickle can never be anything but creatively intelligent. But Peter has his moments where he due to reasons and situations hid his own self and went on to present himself as what he thinks other wants him to be.
In poa, he acted remorseful and apologetic to get sympathy. In swm, he becomes a cheerleader to James whose core personality is being an arrogant asshole to almost everyone except Sirius.
He is the most Slytherin-like Gryffindor to ever exist. In school he needed James to survive, not because he was stupid Or needed help with study but because he was absolutely low on social status. His social skills left too much to be desired. So a kid Peter really admired how easy it comes to James to be so charming. That admiration turned to hero worship.
As an adult, he bets his everything on Voldy's win because again he wished to be unharmed and be on the wining side.
So, I hc that Sirius sees Peter's potential. His intelligence. (Common guys why do people forgot that irrespective of who helped him, he himself achieved animagus magic as a 5th year.) He is truly deserving to be one forth of marauder and was not part of it out of pity.
Anyway, Sirius hated that Peter just becomes this fangirl of James. He finds that creepy because he thinks that everyone should have their own agency. He is a guy who ran away when he felt that he was loosing his own agency in grimmauld.
By that logic, Sirius's ideal partner will have to have their own agency and not be influenced by anything that is not their own moral and ethical rules.
But Remus's entire personality is surrounded by his being a werewolf. He has a dual persona. First where every decision and shortcoming in his life, he blames on his condition, giving birth to self pity. While on the other hand where he suppress and hides his creature side as if it is not even there. Which makes him want to make everyone believe that he is a good guy who does good things.
If i have to compare him to anyone in real world, I will say he is like a person with internalized homophobia.
He has an aspect to his personality which he can not change, either just supress and believe that it is not there or just allow himself that space and accept that yes I am like this and it is just how I am.
We see him being troubled by his lycanthrophy but his mental attitude is that of a person who has not yet accepted his condition and made adjustments to live a comparatively happy life. Proof is him blaming Snape for losing his job instead of coming forward and taking the blame in what happened the night prior or asking harry if he and his friends are alright because he a responsible adult who forgot to take his potion and might as well have killed three school aged kids. But no, the entire conversation is him looking for sympathy from a kid who was severely traumatized just the previous night.
It will not come as a big shock to me if the golden trio had ptsd from that night. If they had a phobia of werewolves because one was about to kill them.
In real life people loose limbs in accident, get paralysis, we see people on both ends of spectrum in dealing and accepting their situation and in between.
Lupin proves that any amount of time is insufficient for him to just forgive himself for an event that happened in his childhood which changed his life forever.
And this is the biggest thing that makes me repulsed seeing Sirius paired with Remus- propagating the belief that the best Sirius can do during his peak- pre azkaban days- is being with a person whose hate for himself oozes out of his pours.
A person who can never love himself can never love others. so Wolfstar at best can be a lust story (unbelievable as canon Remus is not all that attractive in physical or emotional or mental level) and at worst a toxic story where Remus gaslights the shit out of Sirius and abuses him behind closed doors. Both physically and emotionally. And presents to be the picture perfect bf in front of society.
[I will definitely love to read a story where Sirius agrees to give it a try when Remus, his close friends reveals his feelings, although he was never attracted to or interested himself in being in a relationship with Remi. Soon, Remus begins using his manipulation techniques and gaslight tools to trap Sirius. It continues for a year or two but somehow he finds that he is abused and gets out of this relationship and then finds his way in life. Etc. ]
I can totally picture Lupin as an abusive partner or husband or father even. In fact i hc that had they both have survived, tonks would have found herself part of a very stressful marriage.
And actually this is not an attack on people who love to read the ship, my beef is that one ship has overpowered entire fandom that we never see Sirius with anyone else as if it is a crime.
It would have been good as a medium fans ship but the large traction makes their fanon characteristics becoming a rule of thumb.
He deserves better than a person who will depend on him financially and emotionally. He deserves to be cared for and cherished and protected and not always having to be the strong one, the one who keeps on apologising for his belief and reasons.

the story of kfc fucks me up man. the colonel founded this gas station that expanded to restaurant, the chicken at the restaurant gets popular, makes KFC, it gets big and he sells it to a corporation for a lot of money. realizes he got sorta scammed out of the true worth of kfc so tries to get more money and they refuse and the courts side against him. then he starts a new chicken restaurant claiming the corporate people were not making chicken to his standards and kfc sued him because kfc owned the colonel's likeness and the courts agreed. a corporation owned this man's name and appearance. he wasnt allowed to use either, thus legally erasing his reputation making it harder for him to get taken seriously in any food venture. the man, to the day he died, was going into kfc's and throwing fits because the food had fallen into such bad shape he hated it was associated with him. and it's like, whether he's a bad man or a good man or whatever, a corporation owned his identity, stopped him from using his reputation and identity in other businesses, and refused to acknowledge his outrage that they changed his recipes and still attributed it to him. this is literally the obnoxious plot of a jay and silent bob movie, but it was this dude's real life. what the fuck.

Sirius isn't a manchild that only saw Harry as James. But there is a character in canon that is like that, and that character is Snape.

Exactly. I read in a fan fiction that Dumbledore essentially had almost one and a half decade after that fateful Halloween night to systematically try to remove bigotry from society. He could have introduced so many things in Hogwarts to change at least the children's mind.
He could have found some ways to keep the pure bloods from siding with voldy after he returns.
The dark side was super week after voldy's downfall. The light faction won. But he didn't use the victory in his favor.
HE SAT AND WAITED FOR RIDDLE's RETURN
Originally put this in a message to someone but I'm still salty so I'm posting it here too.
I just keep thinking about how Dumbledore is presented as this great advocate for equality and justice in the Wizarding World but what does he actually do? For example, it's said he "opposed" the killing of the last giants in Britain (implying there was a state sanctioned genocide btw) but like...how did he oppose it? Dumbledore does not care about respecting the Ministry or following the law when it doesn't suit him ad he is also tremendously powerful and essentially has his own private army. (Not to mention that until Voldemort's second reign it seems he was generally respected and influential in the Ministry and held a lot of sway there). So if he really wanted to stop it, he could've done a lot but it sort of seems as though he was more like 'oh no...don't do that...oh well...'
And there are so many other instances like this. He says Sirius was wrong to mistreat Kreacher but did he even once try to intervene? Does he ever make a rule saying that using slurs like "Mudblood" is against the rules? He has full control of the Hogwarts curriculum until 5th year but does he make Muggle Studies mandatory to expose Purebloods to information that could prevent their radicalization into anti-Muggle organizations? Does he try to get legislation passed to prevent the wanton use of spells on Muggles to modify or wipe their memories despite the risks of such magic? No! He does none of these things.
He seems pretty happy to let the status quo be and focuses mainly on Tom Riddle - who he has been bizarrely fixated on in a kind of disturbing way since the first time they met - while ignoring the larger, systemic problems in wizarding society and doing little to aid the groups he claims to represent.

Absolutely not. Are you kidding me. Lily was vindictive to the bones.
When snape calls her mudblood, she retaliate saying if I were you I would wash my pants snivellus...
It was like a flip switch. One second she wants everyone to think she is helping her bff. He says a slur word to her that he apparently has been using on all other muggleborn and she let it slide but just the first time he says to her, she has a reply ready in her mouth without much thinking.
She hurt him, and i am not pro snape, but where is the famous kindness in this scene when she was attacked she attacked back and didn't offer any lee way to snape who was getting abused himself (again I am pro marauders but they overkilled in this scene) .
If she got the chance, she will torture Peter way worse that Bellatrix's torture of Hermione and do it all over again before granting him a painful death for what he caused to her husband, child and good friend (Sirius).
Why do people make this assumption about her, I will never understand. I mean yes JKR stated again and again that lily is a woman that every other woman should try and fail to be like but where is the canon proof.
Yes she jumped in front of her son's murderer but what mother won't????? MOST WILL. Nothing especial there.
Besides that what makes her this goddess among human beings????
Stop making her a human without fault.
‘James Wouldn’t Have Stopped Us. But Lily Would’ve.’
Sirius & Remus Missing Moment in Order of Phoenix
“I don’t reckon my dad would’ve wanted his best friends to become killers.”
“James wouldn’t have stopped us,” muttered Sirius sullenly to Remus one day in Grimmauld Place.
Every day he was there in hiding, he bitterly regretted the moment of weakness where they had listened to Harry’s plea. He resented where it had gotten him.
“James would’ve understood,” Sirius continued. “He would’ve let us kill Pettigrew. He wouldn’t have wanted to spare him. Not after his betrayal.”
He looked at defiantly at Remus, expecting his old friend to challenge him… But he didn’t.
“I think you’re right Sirius,” said Remus quietly. “In my heart of hearts, I don’t think the James I knew would’ve done what Harry did. James wouldn’t have stopped us.”
Remus paused thoughtfully for a moment. He couldn’t hold back a small smile.
“But Lily would’ve. Sirius, there’s no doubt in my mind… Harry is as much of his mother on the inside as he is his father on the outside.”
Sirius suddenly felt a lump in his throat. He felt as though something had struck him. He nodded curtly, at a loss for words. He wasn’t expecting that.
Sirius thought of Lily’s fierce green eyes. The ruthless kindness and the unrelenting mercy. The absolute commitment to always do what was right. He’d never met anyone else with that kind of goodness inside of them… until he met her son.
He knew it was the truth, whether he liked it or not. He knew they had done the right thing that day, as much as he suffered now.
“Damn it Evans,” Sirius whispered.

On Eloise’s obsession with Lady Whistledown
I think it is worth remembering that the only reasons why Eloise was obsessed with finding Lady Whistledown, was because she wanted to save Penelope and her family from ruin, and because she wanted to talk to Lady Whistledown to try and convince her to use her significant platform to talk about Women’s rights.
Which makes it being Penelope a betrayal on multiple levels. Not only is it true that Penelope ruined her family and Eloise, and Eloise’s family, it is also true that Penelope watched Eloise waste her time for two years.
Eloise was already talking to Lady Whistledown about how much good she could do if she wrote about women’s rights, and Lady Whistledown never changed. And Eloise knew she could change because for one of her issues she did.
How embarrassing to have this grand plan of getting the eminent writer of your social circle to do something worthwhile with their platform only to find out that the writer you have been looking for was the very same girl you were making these plans with.
If I were Eloise I would think that Penelope, the person who was supposed to be my best friend, had been laughing behind my back for two years.
TLDR: Penelope betrayed Eloise by telling the world the secrets she had shared with Penelope in confidence but also by letting Eloise make a fool of herself in private and in public (in front of the queen!), and also by letting Eloise waste years of her life. And yes that was Eloise’s decision on what she did with her time, but it is still cruel.

We don’t talk enough about how every institution Sirius should have been able to put his trust in betrayed him at some point. From his parents to his friends, to the light side he left everything for, to the dark side he would give anything not to be in.
The greatest irony of Sirius, is that for a person who is literally distinguished by his loyalty, a character who let himself be tortured to the brink in Wizarding hell for twelve years simply because he trusted the wrong person, a person whose animagus is literally a dog, is this: He would die, die after being kept in a cage at the urging of Albus Dumbledore and the Order he sacrificed his family for and then murdered by that very family itself. That he’d fall only after he has been utterly ruined by everyone he ever loved, everyone who he should have been able to trust, down to his house elf.
Sirius was 21 years old and lost his entire twenties to Azkaban because even Dumbledore who would bat for reformed Death Eaters and students rearing murderous spiders in his school wouldn’t consider giving him so much as a trial.
Friendly reminder that he wasn’t just locked up in a cell and left there, this was his state of affairs:
“…. he was one of the most heavily guarded in the place, you know. Dementors outside his door day and night.”
And we can infer, considering that he was a barely legal soldier raised in an abusive household that that was not a cakewalk. Dementors are terrifying torture machines even for the well adjusted let alone the traumatised.
It also speaks a lot about why he gives himself to James with such abandon and why no one else will ever hold that position in Sirius’ life. James is the only person to ever to take that love, that trust, that faith and to nurture it, protect it, to worship it. He’s Sirius’ guardian and Sirius’ salvation and Sirius’ font of security. Is it truly such a surprise that Sirius never quite recovers from his death? With James gone, where else could he go?
Sirius was the Brightest Star in the sky and apparently the only thing Death Eaters and the Order of the Phoenix could agree upon is snuffing out his light.
