I'M ALIVE

Hey everyone! It's been quite a while, hasn't it? I know I can be pretty chatty, so I'm just gonna get straight to the point and explain my absence.

My Gonta hyperfixation went away. That's it. Each day my hyperfixation became smaller and smaller until one day it went away completely. That happens as an autistic person. I lost all motivation and interest in running this blog so I abandoned it for a while. In hindsight that probably wasn't the best idea, but there's nothing I can do about that now.

Since my last post, a lot has happened in my life. I graduated high school, I got a girlfriend, I adopted a baby guinea pig, and so on!

Anyways, my interest in Gonta came back quite literally out of nowhere. I wouldn't say it's a full blown hyperfixation, but it's definitely a big interest. Soooooo I'm returning to this blog to post more Gonta content!! I'm happy to be back :)

Update

So things... Haven't been going so well. Starting with the covid situation, I've been covid free for almost two weeks now and I'm very happy about that!

As for my family member who also had covid, it was my grandmother who also contracted two types of pneumonia. To make a long story short, she passed away a few days after Christmas. She was my favorite person in the world, so losing her has been very tough on me, but I'm doing my best to cope in healthy ways (which has been going good so far.)

I stayed home from school for a week for the funeral and because of my poor mental state, so now I have a lot of work to catch up on.

Now back to the positives, I'm planning on becoming active again once I catch up on my work! That should be soon I hope :)

Hiatus

I'm not sure how long this will last, but I'm going on hiatus for a bit. A few of my family members, possibly including myself, have contracted covid and one of them has a very high chance of passing away from it. I don't have the energy to post anything right now. I'm very sorry. I'll be back. Stay safe, everyone

I'm going to project onto Gonta here with this semi-canon headcanon but hear me out...

Gonta struggles to articulate his thoughts. Like, he knows what he wants to say, but he doesn't know how to say it. This really frustrates Gonta at times, especially when people take him struggling to say what's on his mind as him being stupid. Sometimes he even reacts physically out of frustration, like slamming his fist against something or making frustrated whines

So the high res versions of the swimsuit sprites came out... And I'm not a fan of Gonta's

I know, I know, I'm always nitpicking about something, but I just can't bring myself to like his sprites. The swimsuit is totally fine! It suits him well. What I don't like is how they drew his body. It just looks... Off? His muscles look so exaggerated and uneven. On top of that, I'm also biased because I never imagined his body to be built like that, so consider this post to be half a headcanon lmao

Personally, I think he'd have along the lines of a built fat body type. He's big and beefy, and you may or may not be able to see some muscle, but overall it's covered by some fat. A body type like that would be the absolute best for surviving in the forest for so long. He would still be extremely strong, but he'd have enough fat to stabilize him if he wasn't able to get food for a while. It would help him in the winter too. Also, he has body hair. Why do his sprites make him so smooth?

So I'm stupid and forgot to add a crucial detail to this. Yes, I do want to make a collection of weekly Gonta x readers, but only for the month of November. I was going to do a short prompt every day for a 30 day challenge, but I'm too busy for that. I can't believe I forgot one of the most important details for this post smh

The Gonta fandom is in desperate need for some x readers so I'm thinking about writing a Gonta x reader one shot once a week and putting them all on ao3. I'll link them all on here too, of course!

Though for a bit of input from other people, if you read x reader fics, do you prefer them to be written in second or third person? I'm stuck on that

Oh god no I would not want to go to Ace Attorney level of names. A while back, I tried looking for Japanese names that are similar to Gonta, but I couldn't find anything either. Gonta sounds pretty unisex to me anyways

I saw your post about people drawing gender bent Gonta with big boobs and thin and I 100% agree. Give that lady some muscles like Sakura.

LITERALLY I don't think she'd have the exact muscles Sakura has, but she'd definitely be a buff lady. I think she'd have muscles, body hair, really long hair, and tan/dark skin. So like Gonta but with more feminine features in her face, body, voice, etc. She could even have the same name, since I heard it's become common in Japan to give girls masculine names and boys feminine named (I could be wrong on that part though)

I like to think that Gonta's teeth are a little crooked. His entire childhood and adolescent years were spent in the forest, there's no way he had access to braces. Even if he just has a tooth gap, I think it would be super cute
