Heres a couple of cups I've made in the past cpl days. Left is fumed silver and some gold on black with a Europa Star (@trautmanartglass) elcalmo lip wrap and the right is fumed on cobalt with a Star White lip(@northstarglass). Another fresh eye from the other night, this would be my first time messing with Sno White from @glassalchemy and I gotta say this was one of the most difficult color whites I've ever worked with but the resulting color is so pure. I also took the time to try something than I've done with other white eyes I've made and gave this one a matte finish on the eyelids. I gotta say it looks so clean I dont know why I didnt try to before. The matte finish on this guy is really hard to get a good photo of but in person this thing is amazing! The Sclera of the eye is made with some Galaxy, a new sparkling black from @northstarglass, gives some good contrast to the white and flows well with this iris pattern. Feeling pretty inspired to make more eyes lately. Here we have my first inside/out style eye in the Dermagraphic series. This pattern features a couple different kinds of rainbow twist cane from my good friend @pouchglass as well as some dichro from @artofdichroic. The bail is also made with some heavy dichroic cane to really make it pop! Eye collectors hit me with a dm to scoop this badass little collab inside/out guy. Been making a bunch of spoon pipes lately. Some by lathe and some by hand. Heres a few of the most recent full color pieces. Left:full Unobtanium (super sparkly Satin blue) with some transparent red patterns on the bowl. Middle:full slyme(translucent green with a black opal grip Right: English Ivy pinstripe and sandblasted with english ivy mushroom marble grip. All these have a 3-hole blown in screen to eliminate the need for a nasty metal screen or even worse, fragile glass ones.. Getting back on the grind. Heres a couple pieces from the other day. The first piece is made with some scale tech I havent done in a minute. The patter came out pretty cool, used Gold and Silver over @trautmanartglass Honey Badger and the fume came out with some really nice colors. This piece is pretty hefty and has a good weight to it. The 2nd piece is made with @northstarglass Timber with an invisible UV pattern made with some Illuminati, a uranium UV green also from @northstarglass. Little Inside/Out spoon from last night. It's been a while since I've made a piece in this style and I've forgot how much fun these are to make. Its got a nice gold sheen on the inside underneath a bunch different colors and I also threw on a nice little grip of illuminati dots on the front. Well this week has been pretty lame. My oldest son and I have been sick with the flu or something and it's been extra debilitating. Since it's been like a week since I've posted anything, I've thought I'd put up this throwback piece I did in early 2018. Custom salmon pipe for a friend of mine. Pretty stoked on how he came out being my first time layering frit like this. Took a few tries of a couple different methods to get it how I liked it. Im Pretty sure this is the first fish pipe I've ever made (aside from the killer whale piece I made a while back). Definetly the first with so many layers and detail. Props to @trapperstudio for making some of the best looking fish in the game and posting the #torchtalk lesson. It coincidentally came just in time and helped tremendously! Here it is folks, the @pouchglass collab robo finally finished. Possibly the biggest piece I've been a part of for sure, even getting this piece in and out of the kiln was a team effort!
