I made the mistake with this one to change the lighting half way through the painting which always messes with the values and colors, but oh well. Sometimes a painting doesn't go the way you want to and then you got to let it go. But I still like the overall comp and all that, so you get to see it, haha. Maybe I manage to be a bit clearer in terms of values with that extra painting that I have planned for this scene, because this scene is just too good to only get one.

would you ever write a sequel to amw? maybe from laurent’s pov 🥺 - and to sort of work through the aftermath, which it sounds like won’t be a focus of amw, based on your recent replies to asks? (and i totally understand if not! i, selfishly, love your writing and this verse so much that i never want to leave 🤡)

i dont see myself writing a sequel to amw in all honesty 😞 like i said, i'm not really interested in the aftermath bc then i feel like its TOO real you know???? and it makes laurent and damen seem 100% grosser lmaooooo

but!!! i definitely am intrigued by a laurent pov....... can you imagine laurent moving to a whole different country just so he can be closer to his brother — only for auguste to move away a few months later?? and then isander — who worked hard to court laurent and whom laurent fell for — is now suddenly losing interest in him, but laurent is so desperate for companionship he ignores all those red flags. and laurent doesn’t have any friends of his own and isander’s friends all tolerate him.

and THEN he finds comfort and solace in the one person he definitely shouldn’t — and on top of that he falls for him!!!!!!!!!
