👉 A parliamentary note in response to a tax query clarified that traders would not be allowed to offset their losses from one digital asset to the profit of another.

👉 The new #cryptotax policy expects traders to separately treat profit or loss on a digital asset. If an investor invests $100 #BTC and #ETH and profits $100 on ETH, but incurs a loss of $100 on BTC, they will still have to pay 30% tax on their #Ethereum gains. 

👉 The tax policy by the government is being heavily criticized and is being seen as a move that can throttle the industry’s growth.

📣 #Ukraine's President Signs Law Establishing Regulatory Framework For #Crypto 

👉 The president of Ukraine Volodymyr #Zelenskyy signed a law setting a #legalframework for the country to operate a regulated #cryptomarket. 

👉 The country's National Securities and Stock Market Commission will determine policies on digital assets, issue licenses to crypto firms and act as a financial watchdog.

👉 #Cryptoexchanges and firms handling #digitalassets will be required to register with the government to operate legally in Ukraine, and banks will be allowed to open accounts for #cryptofirms.

👉 The government agency added that Ukraine’s Ministry of Finance was also working towards amending the country’s tax and civil codes to accommodate the legal framework for digital assets.
