Everyone on Terra looked the same.
White, in long coats, grey hair, most had corrective eyewear. The guards were all wearing tough cloth and helmets that hid their faces.
Gamora had fought through waves of guards, fortified defenses, and even electrocution. Whatever Terra was packing wasn’t nearly enough to do damage to her enhanced alien physiology.
The electrocution was the only thing to do anything close to harmful - it felt like she was hit with a real bolt of lightning. It caused several of the metallic enhancements in her body to shut down briefly. Though she recovered quickly, it was enough to subdue her.
She was put in a cage - it had four padded walls and an electric screen that she could see through. It was rudimentary technology, but if she tried to step through the screen, she was shocked once more. After one day in the cell, a mist was sprayed into the cell. She could no longer fight, and it made her extremely tired.

“What is your name?” A man in a white coat asked.
As much as she wanted to remain silent, her mouth fell open. She felt pulses in her brain while she fought the urge to say anything.
“Gamora,” She struggled to say.
“What sort of alien are you?”
Gamora bit her lower lip. She saw the man turning a dial in his lap and the pulses intensified.
“Z-Zen Whoberis.”
“How many more of your kind are there?”
As the pulses got stronger, she felt her free will leaving. “I’m the only one left. My father killed everyone and kidnapped me.”
The man paused and scribbled something down. He looked up again and asked, “What do you do?”
Gamora felt one last flicker of her own thoughts. “I’m the deadliest woman in the galaxy.”

“Nebula, don’t put that in your mouth!”
The sun filled the sky on the bright summer’s day. It was a lovely day for a walk to the park. Gamora had on a floral sundress and a wide brimmed hat. Nebula, her young near-toddler, was wearing a matching outfit.
The two were resting on a blanket under a large tree. Nebula had grabbed a fistfull of grass and tried to shove it in her mouth. Gamora giggled as she replaced the grass with a toy.
“You can’t eat grass, sweetie.” Gamora brushed her daughter’s cheek.
When her skin touch the babies, a flash went through her mind. A weird...robot charging towards her with a sword. She was bald and blue, with dark eyes. She pulled her hand away and the image faded. Fear and anger rose up in her chest - emotions she didn’t often express.
Nebula made a few noises, pulling Gamora from her trance. She took in a deep breath and sighed.
“Why don’t we head home now?”
It wasn’t the first time Gamora had these sort of visions. Sometimes it was around her father, sometimes around her neighbors. This was the first time it happened with Nebula, and she worried about what that could mean.
As soon as she had Nebula packed up and in her stroller, she had completely forgotten all about the vision.
