Hopefully. Writing isn't exactly my forte, and I barely have the spoons to do my main hobbies which makes it even harder to do writing since I honestly think mine is a bit shit

If anything, I'm considering rewriting the earlier chapters before getting back into it as I'm not very satisfied with them

I agree. Mostly machines have to get blood from outside sources, while obviously Guttermen have their built in technical corpse "blood generators"

In my hc, V1's body still produces blood, as well as it using its bone marrow, but it's more of a fall back/emergency blood source. Since it's made for war it could very easily get stranded in war zones where there's large gaps between living beings for whatever reason so it would need some sort of backup

Machines generally have organs or human-esq body systems within them. Most are lab grown organs or the rare occasional animal organs, with the exclusion of older models like the Guttermen who have actual humans inside them

The only other model to have actual human organs within it other than the Gutter models is V1, as it was a prototype whose creator wanted to make the most realistic AI yet. It was originally a human who was (unwillingly) forced into a metal "tomb" that was V1's body. It still has consciousness and everything from before it became a machine, but its emotions were smothered by programming until around the time of the second V2 fight when it finally broke out of those restraints. It isn't public knowledge that V1 is formerly a human and only it, and the direct team who worked on it knows of this. It's sort of a FNAF style situation going on, but the human body fuels V1 as well

Most machines are kinda weirded out by the Gutter models having barely alive human bodies in them. They'd be even more horrified if they learned about V1 since it doesn't have a dedicated space for its body, isn't being pretty much all the systems within it hybridized with mechanical shit. Some things are only there to help disguise the fact that it's got organs not used in machines, like lungs, which are drowned out with fans.

Machines with lab grown organs usually don't actually use many actual organs aside from everything that makes blood, leaving them a healthy mix of biological and mechanical

Written my first ever Ultrakill fanfic!

Some basic info for the V models (including Mirage)

V1 - It/Its pronouns A curious little fucker who, when not murdering every living thing in hell, mostly just enjoys exploring and cataloging information it finds interesting (primarily things related to art, what remains of daily living in hell (like in Lust), and the different creatures it meets in hell (this includes the fish)). It's surprisingly passive when either not rabidly seeking fuel (only happens with low on blood or when severely injured) or being attacked (like how V2, Gabriel, and the prime souls just fucking attack it). It's super fucking touched starved and will quickly become attached to anyone or anything that shows it some basic fucking decency. It's also likely to follow that being around like a lost puppy if it can. Very untrustworthy of humans due to how it was treated before humanity's extinction.

V2 - Any pronouns, mainly uses He/They though He originally holds a grudge against V1 for the fact it actually got to interact with humans, while it was kept away from humans aside from required interactions such as maintenance during testing. After their second fight and they learn that V1 apparently suffered at the hands of humans, they realize he is in the wrong and apologize upon their next meeting after showing that he means no harm now. They're a bit of a scrap head, having made each of their arms (the ones you get as V1 in game) and later on being a bit of a mechanic/repairman for both V models. It took a while for him to manage to gain V1's trust, but once he did, they grew to have a genuinely nice friendship.

Mirage - She/Her pronouns Was made by the original creator of V1 after their job accepted their AI project (V1) and then used it to create a weapon instead as a way to slander the publicity the company was attempting to make for the weapon to hopefully end the war. She was accidentally made self aware and sent out into the internet as apart of a slanderous dating sim without the creator's knowledge that she was conscious. She had to see the horrors of the internet and the results of being a character in a dating sim, witnessing her own sexualization first hand. Just before the internet was destroyed, she managed to save a copy of the known internet to her servers (located within the very company she was created to slander). She may very well be the sole copy of human history just before the extinction event occurred. She is only discovered by V1 and V2 in lust when they accidentally find a connection to her servers within the city, despite her rude attitude and unwillingness to cooperate, even after helping her overcome spiraling into an eternal pit of existentialism, the two vow to attempt to get her off her server as it could very well be a ticking time bomb as the status of earth's surface was unknown to every machine at the time.
