Sad But True...........
It all started a year and a half ago. I was one of those people who constantly posted videos, music, and other things on facebook. One of my boys must have got tired of my posting shit and suggested that I start a blog. So I was like, fuck it, why not? At the time I was living in Miami and I told my DOG down there about it, he was down to help work on it so we could "make it happen." So like that we started "GoatMouf" I spent countless hours trying to get the layout right and playing with .php codes. Reading about things that I had no idea about, basically trial and error with everything. While I was doing this I was also grinding the social networks trying to get our brand out there and my DOG was doing most of the posting. Mind you the whole time I was also collecting unemployment and playing online poker. However when I wasn't playing poker I was working on the site. Then I ended up moving to Las Vegas and within a few months of the move my DOG who was helping with the site got a promotion at his "real" job, between that and the family business he had to attend too it was now just me. It was cool tho because I was able to grind the site around me playing online poker, I just basically lived in front of the computer. So between burning the finest trees all day and playing poker I kept the site going. It has always been time consuming, and the financial reward has never amounted to much. But I was getting by, by doing other things so it was cool to maintain it. Plus if you have been visiting the site frequently or if you know me personally, you know I love this music shit. Well for those who don't know the DOJ recently shut down the online poker sites and I have recently relocated to Tampa. With this happening, it has thrown a loop hole in my entire lifestyle and I have basically been forced to get a "real" job. This is why recently there haven't been any posting or me being active on twitter during the day. Again the site is very time consuming and unrewarding financially. I'm a hustler (Ex-Drug Dealer check my resume') and don't like to do shit for free, especially when it is interfering with me making money. I like most of you am not rich or wealthy and need to get paid, so I am not going to be able to work on the site. I am going to apply that time to playing poker at local casino's when I get off work. I don't want to half ass the site and post sporadically or have to worry about what's dropping, whats out, to make sure I can get it up in a timely fashion, etc etc. Unfortunately in this business it's all about being "first" or at least being fast. There are 100's of blogs and most people are aware of that so why would you want to wait x amount of hours to get a song from my blog when you can go elsewhere and my download numbers have proven this true? I will still be on twitter @GoatMouf. The Facebook "Fan Page" is connected to the twitter and I'll most likely make my tweets update to that page as well, unlike now. There are up and coming artist and underground artist that I support and have had them email me songs and posted their work since I've been doing this. I want to make sure these artist still get their shine and props, since I follow all them on twitter I will just RT their tweets regarding their music. These artist include cats like Joe Cool, Ghrimm, Gees Extortion, D. Julien, Kale Dreamz, M.E.D, Ashim and there are probably more but I can think of off hand (If I forgot you holla on twitter and I'll add your name to this list). I believe in these artist and their talents. I think they all have what it takes to "make it" they are all dope in their own ways. Please support these artist by following them on twitter, If you click their names it will link you to their twitter pages. Also if you go to the people I follow on twitter you will run across artist, blogs, and more that will keep you in the loop of a lot of items I post on the regular basis. As for new sites you guys can visit to get your music fix let me help you out and put you on game. I have used all of these sites for the last year and half and filtered through their post to give you guys what I think is dope. Some post come from youtube accounts that I am subscribed too and other shit via Email. I obviously have no way to provide you with that information. If anyone is interested in taking over the site or keeping it alive hit me up on twitter because I most likely won't be checking the Goatmouf420@gmail email. Or you can leave a message on the facebook fan page and we can talk (The hosting runs out at the end of November). I appreciate all the love from those who have supported, I'm sorry it has come to this and thanks for understanding. - Yak AKA Trump
