If you could relive any of your memories, which would it be?
Thanks for the question. About 20 years ago me and some friends took a trip to Whitby (in England). The whole day out was fun. There was a point where we headed to the Abbey but kind got lost and couldn't find the entrance. Somehow we ended up round the back on the opposite side from the entrance and we couldn't be bothered going all the way back so we just climbed over the wall. We genuinely weren't trying to avoid the entrance fee, we were just being lazy.
We managed to have a look around the ruins before staff caught up with us. We pretend to not notice the staff for as long as we could but they eventually kicked us out. It was great silliness for this group of people in their late 20s but it was the icing on the cake of a fun day.
Reliving that day would be good.

"The Apostolic Johannite Church is proud to present the twenty-fourth annual AJC Conclave – May 31st to June 2nd, 2024 After a review of costs involved for attendance at our host cities, the Apostolic Johannite Church has opted in favour of accessibility and affordability – Conclave 2024 will be entirely online.  Each year the people of the AJC, friends and family gather together to socialize, learn, build our skills and deepen our community. It is an amazing opportunity for spiritual growth and insight to modern Gnostic practice. Conclave is a rich opportunity to deepen your practice, education and experience of Gnosticism and the Apostolic Johannite Church.  Conclave offers lectures, workshops and panel discussions selected to develop ministry skills, support the work of church leaders both lay and ordained and deepen and enrich the spiritual lives of attendees.  As always, we welcome you, no matter who you are or what your spiritual path, to join us for this unique weekend. You can come for all or part and participate as much or as little as you’d like. However you choose, we welcome you into our household."
I am so excited for this year's Conclave. The speakers and the topics being covered are really exciting.

Attention Christians - THIS is what Jesus would do. Put his body on the line, speak truth to power, and demand justice for the starving and oppressed. 🙌
Thank you, @christiansforafreepalestine, for being an example of true decency and faith in action.
“Our scriptures say ‘woe to you, who eat while others go hungry!” they called out to senate staff.
Saying “Congress won’t eat until Gaza eats,” over 60 Christians from across the U.S. are nonviolently blockading the Senate Cafeteria to pressure the Senate and their staffers to support a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, restore aid to UNRWA, and end military funding to Israel. #CFPAction

there is an insane amount of antisemitism floating around right now.
i just want to say:
this blog loves and supports jewish people.
this blog does NOT conflate the israeli government, or the atrocities it commits, with jewish people.
this blog is disgusted with those who use or express antisemitism.
this blog knows that if someone needs to invoke antisemitism, they do not actually care about helping palestine or the palestinian people.
this blog will do its best to insure that it remains a safe space for all.

O loving Pelican! O Jesus Lord! Unclean I am, but cleanse me in Thy Blood! Of which a single drop, for sinners split, can purge the entire world from all its guilt. (St. Thomas Aquinas)

All it means when people say “you’re speaking from a place of privilege” is that you’re likely to underestimate how bad the problem is by default because you are never personally exposed to that problem. It’s not a moral judgement of how difficult your life is.

It's so funny that we call pro lgbt, anti capitalist, anti-war Christianity "progressive Christianity." Personally, for me, it's literally just following the original scripture.
