Kiss the ghost boy and confess my feelings in a romantic abandoned playground only to have my heart broken by the ghost boy

Figure out that he was actually in love with a different ghost boy

Get told by my witch mom to lead my crush and his crush and his crush’s girlfriend into a trap that would have gotten them all eaten

Get my cover blown by a centuries old minor god of cats that also had a crush on the ghost boy

Have to tell my ghost boy crush to his face that he’s in love with his best friend

Get violently torn apart and turned back to a crow by my witch mom and have my mournful caws become part of a prophecy

Redeem myself by helping my crush’s crush get to his lockpicking tools (as a bird)

See my witch mom, the only person that knows how to turn me human, get dragged away by a goddess of scorned women.

All within the span of like. A couple weeks.

I imagine Edwin still reads to Charles when he’s particularly distressed. That Edwin sits near wherever Charles has curled himself up and opens whatever hes been reading recently. Nothing can make Charles melt like listening to Edwins voice, calm and steady.

maybe crystal keeps her promise after niko dies. she texts niko everyday, updates about her life, that time that charles somehow managed to trip and absolutely eat it despite the fact that he can phase through walls, the fact that edwin watches scooby doo when they're not working on a case, and that she's trying to right every wrong she made in the past and she knows that niko would be proud of her.

niko can see all of the messages, but the shitty reception in her igloo won't let her send any hearts back, and it makes her so mad.

my roman empire is edwin escaping hell.

like we all know he suffered there for almost a century and managed to get out, it all sounds so casually, but it always strikes me what it actually means. because no one really knows except for charles eventually. edwin in fact had been captured, tortured, traded to another demon, then constantly chased and eaten by this spider, chased and eaten chased and eaten. AND YET he didn't give up to his fate (unlike simon), but among all that unspeakable misery he still had the willpower to fight for himself AND figure out the way out (all while running and running, being eaten and running, and running).
