#a lot of peolle are misunderstanding thos whoch makes sense cause im kinda on the cusp of both and trhinh to better myself #no ones saying its easy. no ones saying that your mental illness is invalid and no ones saying that its like flipping a switch #because its not #its a huge pain in the ass to change how youre thinking about something that seems to control all aspects of your life #but repeatedly telling yourself you couldnt control it after realizing something youve done hurt someone is super anti-recovery #youre never going to get better and healthier and at a non debilitating point if you dont go:#“i did this in reaction to a symptom of my mental ilness. it was hard and painful and i lashed out but ny reaction is something that i #can control and something i can have help with in learning to keep myself calm and stable so i dont do something brash“#youre forcing yourself to get worse and do it all on your own when all you have to do is take a few starting steps in the right direction #and someday it wont feel so debilitating to deal with anymore #as someone with awful trauma responses.
