She was more than surprised with his answer – considering she had thought it ridiculous at the time, to think such a thing. However, her assumption had actually been correct, but how so? Confusion etched onto her features, her brows knitted as she studied the male’s reaction to her words. I can prove it…that’s what he’d said, right? Before she could ponder on the statement, he’d already lifted himself off the ground and had proceeded to move around in the air -- as the snow increased in size. Elsa’s mouth hung open, as she watched his every movement, hues hungry for more—eager to see what would happen next. “Really? But—I thought you were only a myth.. well, that was what I was told you were.”
Her hands opened and closed, itching to join in on the fun, but she didn’t dare to. What would he think of her? Perhaps nothing. He could, after all, do the same sort of things she had done all of her life--which only made her yearn for more. While she was curious to hear his explanation--though it wasn’t like she needed said explanation, she had a pretty good idea on how he did those things—she found herself becoming increasingly nervous. Elsa said nothing at first; she just stared with interest, longing to show him that she too could do the same. She inched backwards, almost retreating away, when she finally raised a hand, snow appearing from thin air as she shot it out to the side of him.
Tumblr media
She pulled back tentatively, her gaze resting on him for a few seconds before she carried on—hands shooting out more snow, as she littered the ground with white snowflakes. Stopping to turn towards the male, she found herself to be quite embarrassed. She hadn’t expected to get overinvested—nor was she normally this frivolous, but somehow, whenever she came into contact with the frosty weather, her body just took over. She gnawed on her bottom lip, obvious discomfort from revealing her real self to a complete stranger—albeit, someone who seemed to be just like her, or at least she hoped. “Sorry about that. I guess I’m the one who actually needs to explain…” Elsa trailed off, not sure how to explain the things she could do. For a winter spirit, his reason seemed to be relatively easier to understand. For Elsa, her ice powers had been given to her by chance. It wasn’t like she had inherited them, though if she was honest, she was quite intrigued into finding where they did originate from—but found the process a little too arduous. Instead, a smile formed on her lips, and she placed a hand out to greet the fellow. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Jack. Perhaps we can swap stories, as we seem to be able to do… some of the same things. I mean—that’s if you would like to.”
Tumblr media
Normally rather eloquent with her words, she wasn’t sure how to interact with the young man at all. As she was curious of the winter spirit, she hoped he would take her up on her offer -- eager to see what else he could possibly do.
       Almost as if he was curious of her, his steps slowly came closer, minimizing the distance between the two. Of course, he respected her space by not approaching her to the point of suffocation. His head tilted in a manner of confusion, his hues staring directly at hers. Eyes slanted, he blinked once and then twice. For what had brought her to see him? All these years, he constantly attempted to search for someone to acknowledge his existence and it always failed. And every night, he would stare at the bright moon that threw him in this cursed state, constantly asking the same question.
                                                  Why?
     But he’ll never reply, as per usual. The result would always concluded with no response as the invisible winter spirit would continue his wandering without his desired answer. And he still hasn’t received the answer he sought for. Instead, he was granted with this woman who could see him without any explanation whatsoever. What had made her special? Perhaps she wasn’t human, and she was a spirit like him— an oblivious spirit. But that would be obscure; she was surely a mere mortal— no doubt of it.
     Now that he had a closer view of her, he could see her confusion. It was written all over her face that she was puzzled with something. That Jack existed? The mischievous spirit that flew around and made it snow is real? Foolish, a regular person would state. It wasn’t a shocker to hear the platinum blonde woman to question Jack’s existence, but the immortal boy thought that rather than an inquiry of his existence, he thought that she would flee at an instant. Here he was, following her in a vast field of snow nearby one of the many high mountains Arendelle was known for, claiming that he was a winter spirit. Insane was what he could be described as, but perhaps…
                    he was somewhat insane.
                                                       Years of forced isolation could do so much to someone.
     Letting out an exhale that felt like he held in for too long, he cracked a smile; a genuine real smile, unlike his usual cocky one.
Tumblr media
     「❆」—     “Y… yeah! You got it right!
                                             I’m the winter s p i r i t,
                                                                                     Jack Frost…!
                      — Wait! I can prove it——”
     Almost out of his control, the flurry increased and now it was becoming a bit more evident. With that, he let himself to fly around in the air, and even though it was unnecessary, he spiraled around whilst performing his aerial tricks. Once he had landed on the surface, his staff became a root of ice patterns when it became in contact with the snowy ground. His blue pools immediately turned to the woman, awaiting for her reaction.
                              And then it hit him.
Tumblr media
          “I’m… sorry. I can explain…?” Yes, explain that he has ice powers and that he totally isn’t a freak. “… I… it’s really nice to meet you, Elsa.”
                                          Honestly, he never thought he would be ever to say that.

The young woman in blue watched him with curiosity—awaiting any change in reaction, but was severely disappointed when he lacked a readable expression. She studied him harder, but was acutely aware of how it must have looked to him, and averted her eyes almost immediately. Elsa distinguished a slight whisper, not able to make out what the male had spoken—nor did she even know if he had been the one to speak. Perhaps it had been the wind, and she had merely imagined the whole thing? Azure hues travelled to his features again, careful not to linger too long, and she heard the words spill from his lips. While Elsa was known for her stoic persona, she couldn’t help the confusion that was etched all over her features – that much was certain. Jack Frost. That’s what he’d said, right? Jack…Frost. Why did that name seem strangely familiar? Hues narrowed as she tried to recall the name, but failed when hands briefly touched the wet spot that had formed on her cheek—a snowflake. Blue pools widened as they propelled upwards in surprise. Elsa reached for her gloves, pulling them off almost immediately, studying them for a brief second. Had she done this? Surely not--and then, it dawned on her. “The winter spirit?”
Tumblr media
The words had already left her mouth before she could take them back. It sounded ridiculous the more she thought about it, but she’d already spoken the words, there was no need to take them back now. Her Mother--that had been whom she had heard the name Jack Frost from. She recalled the stories she’d told her of when she had been younger—restless and unable to sleep because she was afraid. Jack Frost was nothing more than a myth, right? That’s what Elsa had learnt—but maybe had not believed. She’d sometimes hoped for someone to be able to relate to what she could do, and her Mother had given her younger self an anchor. She’d grown out of the winter spirit, of course; her Father’s teachings had outweighed everything—instructing her not to feel. Perhaps his name was merely a coincidence, and she shrugged it off, her lips opening slightly to reveal her name. “My name is Elsa. It is a pleasure to meet you.”
Tumblr media
She conveyed no discomfort upon giving up her name -- sure that he was definitely not a part of Arendelle, or the blue-hooded male would know of her upon appearance.
     Without even realizing it himself, a pool of emotions washed him over, causing his brain to stop and his face to remain still with his jaw hanging open.
     To be seen, to be believed in; it all felt like a surreal dream that he chased for many years. While the woman before him was giving him a polite smile, oblivious to his surge of emotions, he remained stunned and…
                  scared?
              Overwhelmed with absolute joy?
                                                                      Or even c o n f u s e d.
     What would even be appropriate in this situation? Surely he couldn’t pounce on her and spin her around in the sky, exclaiming how much he yearned to be seen and was thankful to be believed in. Hell, he didn’t even think he could have the guts to initiate such an obscure gesture. So instead, he gazes at the elegant woman with his blue pools that contained his desperation and isolation. Was this freedom? To break away from those wrecked chains of isolation, the chains that disconnected him and the world.
Tumblr media
     「❆」—     “Y… you can see me…?” It came out like a mere whisper, and it was highly probable that she couldn’t even hear what he just said. His brain was filled with confusing scatters of bits and pieces and my God, it was hard to function right now. He briefly took glances at himself, still pondering if this was a dream, but quickly shook his head in denial.
              No,
                                          it was plenty real.
                                                           ”She… she sees me. she sees me…!
     His joy couldn’t be contained and without even him noticing or caring, the area they were in was beginning to snow, blanketing the already freshly fallen snow the two individuals were standing on. Jack’s mouth quickly grew into a smile as he couldn’t help himself but playfully bounce around in excitement. Refreshing, new, this was something he needed to pull him out of his years of misery. Though, his smile faltered away abruptly when he realized that he completely tuned out the other woman.
                                                                                                                     If I could please have your name?
     Jack swallowed the knot in his throat, biting his under lip. Now, how would she react to this?
Tumblr media
            “Jack. My name… it’s Jack Frost.
                                                                                        What’s your name?”

Elsa had agreed with this instantaneously. She could relate to what the female was saying—it hadn’t been that long ago that the Kingdom of Arendelle had fallen into danger. Though one could argue that it was her own fault, and she would be putting herself into danger just by being here. Sometimes she wished desperately that the days of her younger life were still here—one in which she hadn’t harmed her sister, and the two had grown up as part of the norm. Elsa knew that couldn’t have happened; it was impossible, but the wish still remained. “Ah—I’ll take my leave then. Again, I am sorry to have imposed.” A faint smile lingered on her lips as she moved closer towards her home, azure hues remaining fixed upon the ground she walked. If she had glanced up, she may have spotted the dead bodies that littered the grounds of her castle—and the slight figure of Hans, who had somehow made his way into her home.

terranstrial
The journey had left the Queen tired, but she of course didn’t acknowledge it in the slightest – though she guessed the guards who were keeping her company had noticed the lack of focus she usually emitted. Elsa still hadn’t gotten used to her duties as Queen, nor had she even come to terms with the social activities that awaited her—though they were very much appreciated. While Elsa didn’t voice certain opinions, unlike her sister, she also enjoyed traveling and exploring the new found world in which she could never enjoy. She had always found herself putting others’ needs before her own, afraid that her abilities would harm someone else she found herself close to—taking her freedom along with it. The landscape was something she normally took an interest to—eager to see new lands--while azure hues would drink in everything possible. Lack of her sister had been mostly the reason. Anna often travelled with her older sister; they both would chat enthusiastically about the lands that awaited them -- pointing out peculiar greenery and nature which they had never come across before. While Elsa had gotten used to being alone over the coming years, she had recently found herself unusually tired at the thought of Anna’s exuberant self not by her side—and somehow, it bothered her immensely. Her lips twitched upwards at the thought of her sister – unable to contain her joy when the memories surfaced. It was then she realised the footman had joined her at the window. Pools twitched curiously towards the male, realising that he was awaiting a reply that she had not given. The Queen gave an apologetic bow of the head in return, hues twitching to the unusual buildings that accompanied them. “Have we reached our destination?” She inquired, but was met with a shake of the head.
Tumblr media
“I’m afraid not, my Queen. We seem to have hit a dead end.”

[ Acceptance had always been a dream, and now she'd acquired it--but why did it feel somewhat surreal? Was this all a fantasy that she'd conjured -- something which she'd often done in her younger years. ]

❅ - - { Could Elsa pluck up the courage to speak to said individual? Sure she could, as a Queen—but as a member of society? It was difficult to come to terms with, and she hadn’t exactly voiced out an opinion about it. She pressed a finger to her temple, massaging the skin there, trying to block out the thoughts that were protruding. Instead, she concentrated on her surroundings. She hadn’t seen anything like it—though the young Queen hadn’t seen much of anything, so she had nothing really to go on. Before pools could explore any further, a voice tore through—startling her somewhat. Azure hues rested on the female, her lips open, ready to reply. } “My apologies, it was rude of me not to say anything. I hope you can forgive my intrusion—I just stumbled onto this place.”
Tumblr media
「A light tune escaped her lips as she hummed to the music the forest was playing for her. The leaves rustling as the wind blew against them. The crickets playing their instruments and the rest of the small creatures making their way back to their little homes to sleep the night away. Something caught the vampire’s attention. She could hear the heart that beat inside the said creature’s chest. The blood that ran through their veins. By the mere scent she caught, she knew right away it was a human. A human from the world she longed to live in.」

❅ - - { Elsa’s smile rose at the response; it wouldn’t be easy getting it out of Anna, she knew that – though Anna seemed to be more forthcoming about certain things, Elsa had realised. She’d spent a lot of time studying her younger sister—more than she should have, but it had become a natural habit as she’d missed their nightly rituals. } “A Queen has other ways of getting information.”
Tumblr media
{ She was teasing—well, partly. She did have other ways that she wouldn’t be disclosing to Anna at this moment. Should the need to present them ever occur, Elsa could be persuaded to list them. }
Tumblr media
                   ”Wouldn’t you like to know.”
{ Anna knew that her sister was trying to tease her about her and Kristoff’s new romance— which if anyone asked was nothing more than really really close friend feelings. She wasn’t going to let her sister get in her head or make her embarrassed because she was just far to happy to even think about feeling anything else. }

❅ - - { It wasn’t like her to be out at night – nor was she supposed to be out here alone. Elsa was normally the more responsible one of the siblings, but she’d found herself wandering – unfit for a member of royalty, but she’d done it anyway. Once she laid eyes on an unfamiliar female, she scooted out of sight – or at least she hoped she did. She hadn’t expected anyone to be out this late, and instead gazed at the female out of curiosity. }

「Once the sun had vanished, the petite creature made her way through the thick forest and into a little opening in which she likes to call her Miniature Garden. Her pitch black hues gazed up at the brilliant night sky as the star constellations appeared one other the other before the bright moon peeked out from behind some clouds.」

❅ - - { Her smile grew in size at the words her younger sister spoke, feeling quite jovial if she was being honest. She slipped her arm into hers and hoped Anna didn’t mind the connection. It wasn’t like her to act so forward, but hey--today was a new day. } “I completely forgot to ask where you were going. Although…we might be accompanied by some muscle.”
Tumblr media
{ The Queen motioned towards the armed guards not too far from where they were standing. Since the events that had occurred, they had hardly left her side. Perhaps they were worried an upheaval might be had? Elsa hadn’t given them much thought, but she wasn’t sure that Anna would be too happy with their presence. }
      [/ The younger thought she was alone — a wrong impression, of course, when Elsa’s voice caught her attention.
    Wide blue eyes turned on her sister — Anna, while she enjoyed her sister’s company, was not used to all the communication quite yet. It was hard to get back into the old — before a large grin spread across her lips. ]
           ”Oh—! Of course, Elsa. I’d really like that.”
