Kareena Kapoor Khan to star opposite Aamir Khan in Laal Singh Chaddha
Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan will be the leading lady opposite superstar Aamir Khan in "Laal Singh Chaddha". The film, inspired by Paramount Pictures' Tom Hanks-starrer "Forrest Gump", marks Aamir and Kareena's third collaboration after "3 Idiots" and "Talaash".
"Secret Superstar" helmer Advait Chandan is directing the film, while actor Atul Kulkarni is attached as a writer. "Forrest Gump", directed by Robert Zemeckis, is a 1994 American comedy-drama film based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Winston Groom. The story depicts several decades in the life of Forrest Gump (Hanks), a slow-witted but kind-hearted man from Alabama who witnesses and unwittingly influences several defining historical events in the 20th century in the United States.
"Laal Singh Chaddha" is produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom18 Motion Pictures. Ajit Andhare, COO, Viacom18 Studios said to be able to adapt the classic for Indian audiences "is a long-cherished dream for many of us"."Knowing Aamir's burning passion for this subject for many years, he is the perfect partner to bring to life this dream. I also want to thank Jim, Andrew and the wonderful team at Paramount Pictures for believing in our vision and continuously supporting all endeavours to bring some of their best content to the Indian markets" Andhare said in a statement.

Unflattering and hideous clothes apart, sometimes celebs overdo/underdo it and nothing hurts us as much. Ananya Panday showed a lot of promise in her first few outings and we thought she is off to a great start. But the starlet, who is all set to mark her debut with Student Of The Year 2, recently wore a dress from H&M's Conscious collection and there is not one line that meets. Asymmetrical prints apart, the dress failed to accentuate her chic self.

Another student to fail the fashion test is Tara Sutaria, who will be seen alongside Ananya Panday and Tiger Shroff in Student Of The Year 2. The newbie showed up wearing H&M separates to her song launch and the animal print is not the only thing that was off. The tube and show of silver with a zip at the waist is as messy as it gets.
Sonakshi Sinha
Sonakshi Sinha gave her ethnic ensembles a rest for a B-town house party and stepped out wearing a powder blue pantsuit from the house of Deme By Gabriella and we are not sure about the vibe she was going for! The unusual statement neck piece did good talking but it was soon muted by the overall lack-lustre look. Maybe a different hairdo?
Priyanka Chopra Jonas
We are all for flower power and doing the summer right but Priyanka Chopra Jonas' floral blouse and matching trousers by Blumarine toned her spunk down and we do not like the look of that! The neon Jimmy Choo pumps were the only saving grace but the loud blooms made the pop difficult!
Kajol
Kajol, who has just about gotten around to find her style calling disappointed us in a Punit Balana ensemble. The outfit did nothing for Kajol's eclectic candour and quirky personality. Instead, it left her with a forgettable dress, even with the misplaced pompoms on the dupatta.

Confirmed! Yeh Hai Mohabbatein to off air in June, reveals Krishna Mukherjee - It's finally happening! TV's popular show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is all set to shut shop and BollywoodLife was the first one to bring this news to you. It is sad for all Raman-Ishita fans as the show enjoys immense popularity. It's been five years since the daily started its stint on TV. They garnered much love and appreciation, not only for its unique concept but also for the chemistry between the leads, Raman Bhalla and Ishita Iyer aka Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya. Time and again Yeh Hai Mohabbatein made headlines about going off-air, but this time it's definite, how do we know? Well, Krishna Mukherjee who plays Alia in the show has confirmed the news. The actress revealed that the daily soap will end in the month of June.
Krishna Mukherjee, in an interview with Times of India revealed that the show will finally draw the curtains, she said, "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is going off air in the month of June." The actress was very upset with the news too, she further added, "I don't know why the show is going off the air, as it has good TRP ratings. It becomes difficult to leave a show and move on as everyone is a family here. Will miss everyone for sure.” The makers of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein have been experimenting with new plot twists to increase the rating but nothing seemed to work in their favour. To make the plot interesting they even introduced new actors. But with all options failing, the makers decided to pull the plug.
With one show ending, Krishna Mukherjee has already moved onto her next. If sources are to be believed, the actress has already signed Naagin 3. She will be seen playing the role of Vishakha (Anita Hassanandani) and Hukum's (Nikitin Dheer) daughter Taamsi.

Saiyami Kher to make digital debut with Abhishek Bachchan starrer Breathe season two
- Actress Saiyami Kher, who made her Bollywood debut with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Mirzya has joined the cast of the second season of "Breathe", which also features actors such as Abhishek Bachchan, Amit Sadh and Nithya Menen.
Amazon Prime Video confirmed that Saiyami will play a key role in the second season. On the other hand, Amit will be returning as Inspector Kabir Sawant in the series. Mayank Sharma has come back to direct the second season, after co-writing the second season with Bhavani Iyer, Vikram Tuli and Arshad Syed.

Wendy Williams is on team Kourtney Kardashian after the reality star was criticized for sending her daughter, Penelope, 6, to school, wearing near-$400 Gucci loafers. The backlash came after Kourtney’s sister, Kim, 38, shared a photo of them, along with Penelope, and Kim’s daughter North, 5, at school. “So, I’m sticking up for you Kourtney Kardashian,” Wendy said during her show on April 10. — A rare occurrence for the talk show host, as she’s known for ripping on the Kardashian family quite often. “It’s unbelievable how people are, you know? Big deal!” she continued.
Wendy went on to explain that P’s high-priced shoes just so happen to coincide with her family’s pricey lifestyle. “Her kid isn’t going to school with my kid or your kid,” she said, explaining, “Her kid is going to school, where the girl next to her is wearing the $4,000 shoes! And, the boy at the front of the class… he’s got an embellished backpack with the real diamond and this and that.” Wendy added that $400 is “relative” to where P attends school. “She’s probably going to school with kids with stupid money,” the host said.
Penelope’s Gucci Princetown leather slingback loafers, which retail for $365, are a style staple among young stars. So, for the Kardashian family, her shoes were right on brand. However, critics online didn’t favor the 6-year-old’s pricey footwear. “The fact that P wears Gucci loafers to school has me shook,” one person commented under Kim’s photo. “Penelope on the right has better fashion as a toddler then I do at 24,” another wrote. Meanwhile, others couldn’t believe that the famous little ones “actually go to school.”
Kourtney — who has two other children, sons Mason, 9, and Reign, 4, with her ex, Scott Disick, 35 — has not yet commented on the backlash. Nonetheless, the POOSH founder has always been proud of her parenting techniques, as seen on her family’s hit reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, now in its 16th season. In a recent article on her new lifestyle website, Kourtney went into detail about how she used to “co-sleep” with her children so they would sleep through the night when they were babies.

Worst dressed celebs: Alia Bhatt and Radhika Apte left us cringing with their fashion choices – view pics - It was a happening week in Bollywood. There were a few trailers that launched, special screenings, movie promotions and fashion award shows. With so much happening around the industry, our fashion file was filling up to the brim this week. While there were some stunning summer fashion wear outfits that blew our mind, there were some outfits that left us in shock. Our heart was weeping when we watched Alia Bhattwalk out in a blue outfit at the Kalank trailer launch. And we wanted to fire Radhika Apte’s stylist for putting together her recent fashion awards ensemble. What was she even thinking? Well, here’s our pick of five horrible fashion choices of the week:
Alia Bhatt:
Ever since the first look of Kalank released, Alia has been sporting a traditional look. From anarkalis to sarees, she’s been rocking the ethnic look like none other. But she left us sour when she attended the Kalank trailer launch wearing a blue Anamika Khanna anarkali. Let’s face it, the outfit was not made for her. The tacky outfit made her look older than her age and the gaudy blue and golden combination felt like we were back into a 90s wedding where people had no sense of style or colour.
Madhuri Dixit:
Alia wasn’t the only one who looked bad at the Kalank trailer launch. Why was Madhuri Dixit Nene wearing what she was wearing at the trailer launch? We understand that she wore the outfit in keeping with the theme of the movie, but it failed to make a mark. Although the yellow colour suited Madhuri, the outfit didn’t. The Sukriti and Aakriti sharara did not fit Madhuri. It was evident from the bust portion of the dress.
Sameera Reddy:
The gorgeous mom-to-be was recently spotted walking on the red carpet of a fashion award show and it was unfortunately, not a good sight. The pregnant actress wore a red Kallol Datta dress which featured ruched sleeves and a cut-out around the waist. The outfit looked like it was dumped on Sameera to pull off. The cut-out ruined the dress further. Although she managed to pull it off, she deserved a better outfit.
Malaika Arora:
Malaika Arora is another shocker on our list. Lately, she’s been giving some jaw-dropping wardrobe goals but her recent asymmetrical outfit did not stand out. Though the colour oozed the summer spirit, the outfit sported a huge bow across the bust which was a Kalank on the dress. Is she a gift box waiting to be shipped away? The dress could have been a classy red-carpet outfit had the bow magically disappeared.
Radhika Apte:
Radhika Apte’s outfit looked like it was inspired by one of those dessert videos on Instagram. Radhika’s yellow wavy ensemble was a head turner for sure, but not for the right reasons. The outfit was so bad, we were initially left speechless. Is it a mango truffle or a sunny wave? We’d never know. Why would someone do that to Radhika?

Janhvi Kapoor wore pink as a mood to sweat it out in style - view pics - Janhvi Kapoor became an instant hit and hot favourite with her debut Dhadak alongside newbie Ishaan Khatter and post that, there has been no looking back for the actress. Janhvi portrayed the role of Parthavi with great élan and stood out in the Dharma project for her novelty and infectious charm. It is the story of a brave pilot who flew a fighter plane in the Kargil war zone in 1999 to save soldiers and earned a medal for her selfless act. To prep for her character, Janhvi has been working out in the gym and is also on a special diet to gain weight. Janhvi also took flying lessons for her role in the film.
Janhvi has also been finalised to play the leading lady opposite Rajkummar Rao in the horror-comedy Rooh Afza. The actress will be seen in a double role in this movie. Rooh Afza revolves around a ghost that puts the groom to sleep on the wedding night, in order to possess the bride. After the massive success of Stree, producer Dinesh Vijan was quick to announce yet another horror flick with Rajkummar Rao which also stars Varun Sharma.

But Bollywood stars are tackling the summers with style. Several stars have revamped their wardrobe to get in tune with the sunny weather. We have noticed the summer colours taking over our screens. Be it florals, oceanic colours or summer fabric, stylists are exploring everything in the summer fashion lookbook and we’re loving it. See Priyanka Chopra Jonas for example. She has been flaunting summer wear during her trip to Miami and she’s not overdoing it. On the other side, Alia Bhatt is adding the summer vibe to her traditional outfits during the promotions of Kalank. But then there was also Anushka Sharma who styled her airport look in a not so summery way, but we couldn’t help falling in love with her outfit.

Although we wonder how Trisha managed with the round-necked, full-sleeved blouse, we couldn’t take our eyes off her saree. The white sheer saree is nothing extra-ordinary, but it oozes the summer vibe. The actress looked beautiful wearing the outfit. This is one saree we see ourselves pulling off with style at a summer wedding.
Anushka Sharma:
Now, we know that the previous looks have a hint of summer, but can you blame us for not falling in love with Anushka’s recent airport look? The actress looked so effortless pulling of the grey pants and matching cape with it. While we wonder how she carried off such a material in this hot weather, we noticed her lacy crop top beneath the jacket that might have helped her cope up with the soaring temperatures.

They try different outfits and add a new spin to some trends we’ve already seen. But what happens when you experiment too much with an outfit? It usually doesn’t result in a good sight. And this week’s worst dressed celebs list is all about experimentation gone wrong. And unfortunately, our style diva Sonam Kapoor is on the list. The actress, who always gets heads turning with her outfit, missed the mark this week. She was joined by Brahmastra and R.A.W. actress Mouni Roy who put together a bizarre look for her movie’s promotions. Here’s a look at all the stars who failed to impress us this week.
Sonam Kapoor:
Too much of anything is not good and Sonam Kapoor’s latest fashion choice is a fine example of that. The Zoya Factor actress was recently seen attending the Doha Fashion Trust Arabia sporting a creation by Anamika Khanna. She sported a saree topped with a matching cape and it wasn’t a yay look for us. There was a whole lot of pink that stole the thunder of her face. To top it, the elaborate maang tikka on the head with those heavy earrings were a big No No. The OOTD looked tacky.
Mouni Roy:
Another failed experiment was seen on Mouni Roy. The actress, who is busy with the promotions of Romeo Akbar Walter (R.A.W.), was seen wearing an asymmetrical blue skirt with a matching blouse. While we’re all in for experiments, this look doesn’t work on Mouni. It looks like she’s walked out of her bedroom without looking into the mirror.
Pranutan Bahl:
Another diva who gave us the blues is Pranutan. The actress made her debut at the box office with Notebook this weekend. Although our review praises her performance, we were not impressed by her denim over denim outfit. She was seen wearing a denim kurta with bell bottomed denim pants which left us wondering who put together that look for her.
Janhvi Kapoor:
Janhvi Kapoor was yet another star who got our heads shaking in dismay. The actress wore a rose gold gown to a recent event which looked like it was dumped on her. The gown featured this messy torso that was going all over the place. Those sleeves hung dead across her arms. While the colour suited the Dhadak star, the gown did not fit her well.
Fatima Sana Shaikh:
Fatima Sana Shaikh rounds off the list this week with her hot pink gown. The actress attended an award function wearing the asymmetrical pink gown which was not meant for her. The gown’s frontal train looked like it was supposed to be somewhere else, may be at the tailor’s cutting table? And what was with that tacky clutch?

It was graced by a number of celebs from Bollywood like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shah Rukh Khan - Gauri, Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Arjun Rampal, Karan Johar, Sonakshi Sinha were present. Bling and metallic seemed to be the theme of the night. Many stars also ditched the traditional black for a pop of colour. Radhika Apte wore a bright yellow ruffled gown while Kiara Advani chose hot pink. Sonakshi Sinha wore a blue gown with feathers. Arjun Rampal and Gabriella Demetriades also walked in together. Classy, sleek and chic, Anushka Sharma absolutely rocked the red carpet in this Toni Maticevski gown. The hint of silver and smokey eyes added to her edgy look.
Kareena Kapoor Khan donned an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla black and silver lehenga with diamond cut motifs. Keeping her makeup to a minimum, she kept it elegant.
Arjun Kapoor looked timeless and classic in this well-fitted suit.
Sanya Malhotra looked stunning in this white gown from Jobert.
Diana Penty wore a black shimmering gown from Dolly J. With sleek hair and understated makeup, she was gorgeous.

There’s also plenty of cute ways to style a jean crop top – and they’ll not only look super cute in spring, but in summer too!
Elsa Hosk nailed her fall crop top look when she stopped by the Timberland Fifth Avenue pop-up store in New York City on Oct. 18, 2018. The Victoria’s Secret model switched out a shirt for a cropped denim jacket that gave a small flash of skin, but still seemed seasonally appropriate (which is good because what’s appropriate for fall is also great for spring!). She paired it with red boot cut jeans, a black hat, a white Chanel purse and Timberland’s Courmayeur Valley shearling-lined boots in Black Nubuck. So cute!
Kendall Jenner also rocked a cute denim crop top last year. The model was photographed wearing a cami crop top from American Eagle that featured a ruffle hem and square neckline. The look was completed with high waisted jeggings from the same brand. Throw a cozy jacket over that, and you’re ready to take on any crisp spring day!
