“The best feeling for a mother is when she hears the heartbeat of her fetus.
Today, the doctor told me that it is a boy. He also said, “I am not sure, but my daughter, you must do tests and tests. How can you not lose him like his brother?” I cried and surrendered my affairs to God. I also placed my affairs in your hands so that you can help my child in order to protect him from the disease that affected his brother and killed him. Help me to give birth to my child, a smooth birth, a healthy birth. The doctor also told me that when the fetus is fully developed, something might happen if I don't do those tests that make sure it is healthy.
There is a high probability that my child will be sick, but abroad there is treatment for him. I need to travel abroad so I can make sure my baby is healthy and my heart won’t break again, like it did for my first child, my beloved Muhammad.”
- from my friend Hala in Rafah
Hala is in her third month of pregnancy and displaced in Rafah with her husband since her house was destroyed by the occupation. She was separated by the rest of her family months ago and could not evacuate with them. She needs to join them in Egypt and receive medical care so that she won’t lose this baby to disease, like she did her firstborn. Please help her. Every bit helps.

“I am now in Rafah in a tent, and the tent in the summer is very hot and unbearable, and normally, when the weather is hot, we cool ourselves down by drinking cold water, but in the tent there is no cold water. Rather, it is very hot because of the heat, and we are forced to drink hot water. Also in the recent period: the bombing on Rafah has increased significantly and very violently, as the tent was shaking violently from the sound of the bombing and the children were crying from the intensity of the terror present. The planes were in the sky in a dense and frightening manner. I swear to God, I wake up from my sleep at night because of its proximity and its annoying voice. Now there is another exodus from Rafah. Many people have been displaced to new places at sea in search of a safe place. We in Rafah do not feel safe one iota. Every day we say it is the last day in our lives. Now, for 207 days, we have not seen a happy day. We do not feel safe and reassured. There is no healthy food or pure water. All the food is contaminated. Today in the morning I went to the medical clinic in the camp because my stomach was hurting from the contaminated food. There is nothing else to satisfy our hunger. I really hope for help in collecting the costs. Traveling for my family... I just want to tell you that we are humans, not animals. People here are killed every day, no less than 100 martyrs and many injured. Many young men whose hands and legs were cut off due to the bombing. I may be like them in a little while. I do not guarantee that I will live another half hour here in Gaza, death follows us everywhere. It is my right as a human being to live in safety and peace, and for my family to be safe and sound as well.”
- from my friend Kareem in Rafah
Kareem is 22 years old, and has been displaced in Rafah with his family since the occupation destroyed their home. He needs help covering the costs to evacuate himself, his parents and his two younger siblings. Please help him, every bit counts.

hello everyone,
these are two fundraisers i’ve organized for friends in rafah and their families.
i’m sure you all know just how incredibly difficult the situation is: hala, kareem and their families are struggling to survive in an overcrowded area, which is relentlessly bombed by the occupation and where the prices of food and supplies have become extremely high. they need to evacuate to safety.
you can read their stories in the fundraisers.
please donate: even if it seems little to you, it adds up and it becomes a lot. also, please share these fundraisers. every donation and share helps.

The media is complicit in the dehumanization of Palestinians with the language they continue to use. If they can’t even call children, children, then what do they truly think of them?

Felt that it’s important to share videos like this too.

There is still hope. Say it out loud. Palestine will be free. The Palestinian people will celebrate their culture and heritage with each other. We will love and be loved. Do not fall into the trap of despair.

In case you lost it - a link to the eSIM donation guide. Even if you feel sick and powerless, you can at least do this. And even if you really, really can't donate, you can always at least share this and remind others.

ForSnaken's Ceramics for FANDOM TRUMPS HATE! CUSTOM MUG!!! ONLY ONE AVAILABLE!!!
Good Omens inspired custom mug!
Tumblr media
drawing by the lovely @giveintomay <3
Bid here!
See Current Bids Here!
Do you need a new favourite mug for your hot beverages? Consider one in honor of your favourite charity!
I make silly things. You like silly things. How about you give us a cheeky lil bid?
I am perfectly happy making something not Gomens themed, if you'd prefer that. Whatever kind of mug you want me to make, really! I'm not all that great at pretty glazing, I'm much better at fun structural elements (see below).
All mugs are dishwasher and microwave-safe! I have tested this myself.
We can talk about shipping once you've won! I'm willing to ship anywhere, and will package it so it (hopefully) won't break in the mail!
Note: My apologies for only having one available, I simply do not have the time this year for more. I hope to participate again next year!
Examples below! <3

dust and light
i swear to somebody, the actual good omens parallels were a complete accident when i wrote this scene in BNF, where crowley is a writer in the agnes nutter fandom and aziraphale is his big bang partner. i've been on fire ever since i realised.
"The way you talked about the lighting in that last scene was just so striking— I really want to capture it somehow; find a way to paint the different layers of sunbeams and dust motes, just as you’ve written them.” Aziraphale’s grin caught himself quite off guard. “What are you planning?” Crowley shifted with an exaggerated, bashful shrug, but his grin remained steady on his face. “Not sure, just some kind of metaphor about the light and the warmth, probably. Maybe note some stark differences between the bookshop and a dusty room with no light, or a bright place with no dust. Each feeling equally inadequate compared to the shop, and that being… Er, I dunno, a reflection of their lives without one another in it, or something.”
