Hmm that’s interesting just like season 4 finale and premiere of season 5 Clarke was wearing a braid. It wasn’t until she got to Eden and dipped in the water that she was free again and her hair was down.
It’s interesting that both Abby and Clarke wore their hair in a braid up on the Ark, but wore it down as soon as they got to the ground
Symbolically, I would say the braid represents the social constraints of the Ark, and on the ground, they get to be free.
They weren’t oppressed, but they were restrained.
Hmm. Think about who wears braids and when. And how.
