#binging worked when we were catching up on shows with 7 seasons of 20 episodes #modern tv shows are actually not remotely conducive to binging ironically #some thinkpiece somewhere was like 'gen z have no attention span and modern tv is suffering' #and someone pointed out like. gen z is actually binging 90s and 2000s shows in droves making them some of the most popular shows on netflix #its not an attention span issue on the consumers end. #its the fact that none of these companies wanna pay for longer running tv shows so they all have <10 eps and get canned after 1 or 2 seasons #bc they have no interest in franchising or building a fanbase they just want to cash in big and fast #streaming companies have completely lost touch with the consumer

As a lesbian i will always relate more to trans women than cishet women. Made to feel disgusting and predatory in women’s spaces? Check. Berated and mocked for our relation to sexuality and womanhood? Check. Hated for our “deviancy from the norm”? Check. Every single essay about womanhood by a trans woman–and especially, especially by trans wlw–has spoken more to me than anything written by a cis straight woman ever could.
